oh steph, its not your fault that kids are punks!

once at my job this kid walks out the door, and the security thingy goes off (and that kind of happens all the time because sometimes a cell phone or something can set it off, or we forget to deactivate the security tag, so we usually just wave them out the door,) so anyway, it goes off and the kid turns around and just looks at me, and i didnt know what to say, so i just looked at him with a blank expression. so we just stood there staring at eachother for the longest time and finally he says to me in his meek little voice "can i just go put it back." and i was just so surprised, because for all i knew his cell phone had just set it off, so im just like "uh, yes." adn he felt like such an idot and he kept apologizing and stuff. it was so sad. and i jsut felt so ugly, my blank expression caused him to confess. i didnt say anything. not one word.

so then i just let him leave after he went and put the dvd back because i didnt know what else to do. i could probably get fired for that.

that's a priceless story lol...

hahah that is funny - i can't believe you got him to confess to it - i am contiually catchign people stealing and i am like "umm how about you pay for that??" I never know what to do - no one knows what to do though - i am always aksing my bosses and they are just like just make them pay or get the stuff back!!

a curious question though - you keep the cds/dvds in their cases on teh shelves??

here they are all empty and when you get to the counter to buy them the cds and dvds are then put in the cases - people still steal the covers as they get teh cds burnt and just put them in real cases though
