New Label

OK, as weak as this might sound, let's at least give credit to Sony for realizing the talent, and acting upon it, to begin with........obiviously they did **** things up by the time of SHU.....
So, where is this other label? I would think, at this point, that if a label really wanted to sign these guys they would sign them based on their new (NOT SHU) material and quickly before what little fan base is left has gone. Maybe they're waiting for a "closeout" price on the finished album?? Did ND's satisfy their contract by completeing the 2nd album? Years back the labels would sign you to a 1 album deal with a 5 album (total) clause which the label could pick up at their discretion......lots of times they just kept u hanging, almost purposely making you wait on the sidelines watching your career sink, and for no apparent reason...I can tell u that a lot of these music business guys are frustrated musicans who r very jealous and can't wait to pull the plug on artists once they've made their money for them...it gives them a feeling of power....VERY sick and very true.
Unfortunately once you've been stamped with the "one hit wonder" label it sticks with you forever in this business....and these guys really don't deserve that fate.

in short.. they have a new label, but there are alot of behind the scenes legalities which have to be completed before it is officially announced. Apparently, Sony is dragging its feet completing all this-- so everyone..the band and their fans, are playing the waiting game..

Agreed that Sony did good by bringing them to the forefront. Someone like me who's from the West Coast and probably would never have gotten a chance to see or hear Nine Days, did good for me to hear them and get into their music.

In regards to their new label, correct if my memory is failing, but I remember John posting that they have found a new label, but just can't say who yet. Probably some legal hoops to jump through, I don't know.
