SHF, New Label, Info Required
Been a fan of Nine Days for a couple of years now, can't claim to be "old school" as it took a certain film and hit single for this little Englishman to discover them. Anyways I was sure their next release was long overdue, but apart from a few mp3s from Kazaa, havn't heard anything.
So, few questions for those in the know... 1) Has the tracklist been confirmed? Are there mp3s of / a place to buy the new album? Could we see a similar situation to Third Eye Blind's non-existant "Crystal Baller" album (though I'm told there are copies in Japan)? 2) Do we know of a new label signing them up, but not know who it is? Or do we not know if Nine Days can even find a record deal. If they can't, that would really be a crime when you consider the standard of some bands making it right now... Ugly Kid Joe? Puddle Of Mudd? both of those have played live over here in England and were DISGRACEFUL. I've had chance to hear 1 live mp3 by ND (one of the old songs before TMC) and it was really really good. 3) Those old albums? Anywhere to buy them or were so few released that I'd have to pay drastic amounts to import? Any help much appreciated. Now I wanna be Where you sleep Where you lie Where you breathe
1a. MP3s have been in the web, and you can find the info here on the board. Don't know if the site is still up, but try.
1b. Third Eye Blind's new album "Out of the vein" is in the stores at least here in Finland; has been since May. I think it should be in UK also. 3. Same as in 1a. Old albums have been posted here. Marko
what's up newbie? hehe...i just had to say that once
anyways, first off you can find all the MP3s of "So Happily Unsatisfied" in the links section of the site, it's the 2nd link. The band greatly encourages you to download them. for the pre-"The Madding Crowd" well...you can get a few on the site but i know someone had a site up with all of them somewhere. sorry i dun remember. The guys are still trying to work out the legal techicalities (sp?) of getting the rights to "SHU" from Sony/Epic. And, in the process of finding a new label. The album is do out sometime in the summer if all goes well, and the band said they would like "Favorite Song" as the new single. As for Third Eye Blind's new album "Out Of The Vein" i have it...perhaps you got confused because they decided to change the name of it from "Crystal Baller" to "Out Of The Vein". i think i covered everything ~Ryan~
hey your from finland!!!
i would like to say a special hi to you because finland is cool nesua (however it is spelled) is the best Tracy<~~~ 50% Finnish I wonder what its like to be remembered- John Hampson
www.goninedays.com
they have everything there.
Thanks for all people's help.
About Third Eye Blind - I knew about "Out Of The Vein", it's just that "Crystal Baller" did actually get released in Japan for a week or so... Downloaded the whole of SHU - Epic turned that down?? Aside from the intro to the first song (sorry but I like my intros to be the first few chords of a great song, Nine Days - Madding Crowd, VH - Everything You Want) that albums is EXCELLENT. As for the older stuff, started downloading the mp3s for the three albums, but "On Her Way To Boston" from Three doesn't work. Anywhere else to get hold of it? Finally, randomly downloading songs on Kazaa, found a couple of tracks that apparently don't seem to exist on any album... Another Day I Love You The Times That We've Had Together Weekend Excursion Good songs, again any all-knowing old-school fans shed some light? Much appreciated, sorry for all the questions Now I wanna be Where you sleep Where you lie Where you breathe
Weekend Excursion is the name of a band that does a song called ninedays
Another Day - Summer Catch OST
I Love You - The New Guy OST and i completely agree with your comment on the intro to good friend, i even posted a topic sayin that!!
yeah, Weekend Excursion gets mixed up alot.
"Another Day" is a soundtrack song from "Summer Catch" "I Love You" is a soundtrack cover from "The New Girl" ...i think that's the name of the movie "The Times That We've Had Together" ...no idea Another cover is "The Price" ...think it was on some tribute album or something ~Ryan~
hehe you posted your's when i was typing mine....
that's been happening alot lol ~Ryan~
<Another cover is "The Price" ...think it was on some tribute album or something>
Twisted Sister song
I think "Twisted Forever" was the name of the album.
Thanks for the info on the soundtracks, very helpful.
"The Times That We've Had Together" isn't a Nine Days song... sorry for confuzzling you all. Wouldn't it make sooooo much sense to put soundtrack songs on albums (see Story Of A Girl) to help sales. Over here all this American alt-rock-pop thingy genre doesn't get played AT ALL (all we get from the US is RnB, Hip Hop, Rap and grunge/metal) and it takes American films to get some of the music heard. Maybe there are copyright probs but still... Well now that I'm an educated fan, may I ask what other bands you Nine Days fans listen to? As I say, we get none of this in England, so all my education has been on Amazon's "Similar Artists" bit down the bottom. Compiled a small list here, feel free to add recommendations... lifehouse, the calling, nine days, vertical horizon, collapsis, athenaeum, matchbox 20, creed, 3 doors down, default, greenwheel, counting crows, semisonic, sense field, sister hazel, tabitha's secret, red hot chili peppers, powderfinger, hoobastank, stroke 9, third eye blind, train, hootie and the blowfish, goo goo dolls, evan & jaron, our lady peace, the wallflowers, course of nature Now I wanna be Where you sleep Where you lie Where you breathe
METALLICA !!!
counting crows are a very cool band who dont get any airplay over here.
