my idea for a Favorite Song video

so if dreams come true and this is a single, I came up with a video treatment for the song.

the video starts as the focus on a stereo and the song starts... and then it zooms out (during the first few lines of the song) and there is a girl on a couch reading a book and then the camera position focuses on the tv (just as all the music start) and the focus is on tv untill the almost end of John's part and then the girl gets up and put the book on the computer desk (which cause the mouse to move and take away the screen saver that says so happily unsatistifed ;-)) then the group is performing on the computer screen on Brian part. and then it zooms in for the chorus and zooms out for the instrumental part before the next verse... we see the girl come back in with mail in her hand and drops a magazine on a table, which begins the next verse... which is Brian performing on the magazine cover (and when he says front door, she closes the door) and then it moves to a flyer about a concert during John's part... and then for the chorus is moves to a poster on the wall. The during the bridge of the song, the girl gets out and walks fast (runs basically ) and we see her shadow and its a sunny day (which is goes with the song duh) and then she stops and the whole camera pans 180 and its the group performing live in some park and as the song ends, the sun is ending, the girl walks home and she closes the door right as the song ends.


this was just something I thought of as I was listening to it on my way to my grandparents home... what do you think? (you can tell me that it sucks, lol)

Cool idea! My sister (Heather) and I decided that next time they shoot a video, we need to talk the guys into letting us all come to the shoot and be in the video! Think how cheap of a video that would be... They wouldn't have to pay us!

I am always thinking of music video ideas. I am so buying a video camera this summer and I'm gonna make my own music videos. You guys can all come be in them too! YAY! Anyhow... your idea is really super cool!

yeah i def wanna be in it...its hard to find some one as hot as me to be the lead ya know...hahaha my ugly ass is soooo kidding

I absolutely love her when she smiles

My idea is quite simple....

A kid--guy or girl--goes into a preview music booth...
reminiscent of the ones in "Empire Records"
the camera is on them through the CD changer so it can see the person in front of them but also into the store where people can look in,
at theperson acting like an ass in the booth....(I'll explain)

so as they walk in, you see Nine Days artwork a nd all "Check out the new CD from NINE DAYS" all over the booth
So they press play...becasue they have too hear their FAVORITE SONG
Maybe it's a girl with a group of girls going crazy for the song....maybe a friend is outside the booth licking the poster of one of the guys or something.....whatever
So the song plays and the person is lip syncing the words of the song....but they are actually singing it....we just hear the NINE DAYS version.....
but every once in a while...the camera cuts back to the store looking in on the booth and hearing the person sing along with the song....
VERY BADLY
of course, everyone looks in like..."OK FREAK"
and it ends as the original person comes out of the booth at the end of the song and everyone in the store kind of points and laughs at that person, with some applause as well and they either take a bow, or get really embarrassed and blush because they realize what they were doing.......

any thoughts?????
p.s. if it's used, I'm sueing

kindof like the idea that they had for story of a girl....

it was pretty much just going to be this girl, and wherever she went, the band was right there...like she goes to take a shower and pulls back the curtain and jeremy is standing in the shower playing his keyboards haha stuff like that

i hate all those videos with computer screens involved, ala TLC's song about being pretty (yeah i forget the name), and Bon Jovi's song with the kid running (forgot that one too).

i also hate literal videos. like its about a favorite song, so lets not have a girl thinking about it as her favorite song, saving her from whatever teenage life crises she has that week.

LOVE live performance videos.
LOVE abstract videos.
LOVE videos where the camera keeps filming in one take (or its edited to look like one take).

^^put the first & the last together, and i think this would be a hot video.

ps wtf wasnt "favorite song" the first single? D00d!

Probably Sony thought Good Friend was more marketable..

I like the literal songs if they kind of tell a story at the same time.. or tell a story completely!
