Random stuff
March 30, 2003 07:50AM
Hey everyone! I was just looking at the board and realized I haven't started a post in awhile. So... I figured I would, even though I don't really have anything important to say.

So I have some random questions.

Do you prefer red (purple?) or green grapes? I prefer red/purple 'cause they're sweeter.

Have you ever noticed that when someone is blowing their nose, they'll look at itwhen they stop blowing? My psychology teacher once pointed that out and then a couple days later, he did it.

What is your favorite color? Mine is blue. I heard once somewhere that like 70% of people have that as their favorite color.

Do watermelons really grow in your stomach if you eat them?? Haha, I was at a daycare center for a school project and one girl was telling the kids that. And she also said that they woudln't see a rainbow if they didn't eat the yellow part of the strawberries.

I cannot think of any more random questions. But if you think of any, feel free to add 'em on.

I have a goal for this post! I wanna see if we can make it go to 100 posts or more. So post away! smiling smiley

I have another question. Why does it keep saying posts are new when they aren't? Crazy stuff. smiling smiley

1/ Yeah, I noticed that too. You may have cleaned out your 'cookies' though inbetween viewings.

2/ You're blatantly after the 3rd 'Randomize' award. Although, is 'Emily' even aware that she won this week? I haven't seen her post since she won....

It likes to tempt you in just to keep you here...its evil!!! (mwahahahaha!)

Grapes? Most - must be seedless!!

Color? purple or green depending on my mood

Don't know about blowing their nose, did you know that 1 in every 4 americans has been on tv?

I am not after the randomize award! I just felt like asking crazy questions, lol. I did that long before the awards were being given out, so I take offence at that accusation! tongue sticking out smiley. Not that I woudln't want to get the award, because I would.. but that's not what i was trying for, lol. smiling smiley Anywho, answer my questions from the first post! tongue sticking out smiley.
Re: Random stuff

oh, you are SO after the award! i thought that even before sketch said it! ;o) however, your questions are funnnnnnnn....

so i'll go with green grapes, the color purple....i never noticed that about the nose blowing, but it's a pretty gross thought....and i'm not sure that i've ever been on.....wait....yes i have....i HAVE been on t.v.....lots of times, actually! oh my gosh! that's wacky....i'm in the new kids on the block hangin' tough video!

maybe i should have kept that one to myself.....oh well....we're all friends here yawning smiley)

i got that email with random facts in it, and i asked my friend about the one that claims turtles can breathe through their butts, and he actually went and researched it (no wonder he got fired...lol) and found it to be more or less true. it's so they can breathe when they are underwater or something like that.....

Who wants to hear about how I almost died last night? Well, if you don't. Then stop reading... NOW.

So Lissa, Ash, and I are on our way back from Cleveland, its almost 3 am and we are all exhausted... I'm pretty sure Ash was asleep... Anyhow all of a sudden we get into Ann Arbor and there is a MAJOR blizzard for no apparent reason. So I hit the brakes a few times to see how icey it is. It isn't. Great. So I keep on going, a little slower than normal but no big deal, right. Well all of a sudden I am going down a hill and it's curvy on the expressway and I TOTALLY lose control of my car. First we went all the way to the right and hit the guardrail and then we spun all the way around and came within about a foot of the 4 ft tall cement barrier in the middle. Ash wakes up going "oh my god where are we whats going on!?!??!?!?!" Lissa and I are shaking like no other and totally flipping out. Yeah. I swear I have never been so scared in my entire life. I got out to look at my bumper, yeah it is totally shifted to the side now. But the car is still driveable. And the blizzard ended up producing like 1 or 2 inches of snow that is all melted now.

Anyhow... yeah. Just thought I'd share. The concert though was totally killer... who else has been on stage with one of their favorite bands? (sorry Ash and Lissa, I will never shut up about this!!!)

I am not begging for the award! But I'll accept if it's given to me... haha. But anywho, I do not like to drive fast. I don't really like to drive at all. I started really late, so I'm still very unexperienced.

Blizzards are scary. ::nods::

Oh! The funniest thing happened to me this morning. I absolutely adore Clay Aiken from American Idol and I've got "Go Clay Aiken (he's awesome)" written on my white board and this morning, I opened the door and noticed color.. like a picture. It was a picture of Clay and it said "Are you available?" It was in my friend's writing, so I went up to her room and wrote "Yes, Shelli, I am available." I thought it was hilarious, lol. I find it quite odd that I didn't hear her put that on my board.. I was out of it last night.

That's my blabbering for the day... for now anyway. Muahahaha. smiling smiley

Now now, we mustn't have this post lowering before it hits 100! Anywho, I have been working on my speech on Nine Days and it's not going too far. And tomorrow we're supposed to turn in our outlines on it and perform the speech for our groups. So I'm kinda thinking I'm gonna not go to class and then turn the outline in after it.. or something. We can miss three without our grade going down. Sooo.. yeah. There's another blabber session for y'all. smiling smiley

Sketch... where's the randomizer award for this week? Maybe you should give it to John for the randomness of the concert dates... Yeah, I can see playing in Dallas since I know Keith is from TX... but still...wouldn't you want to incorporate some other dates or something. Oh well... Randomness is fun!

Ok everyone! The lesson for the day is: be careful what you wish for. Remember how I said I was probably going to skip speech? Well, I got reason to skip it, other than that I didn't want to go. Early this morning, I woke up and felt like crap and couldn't get back to sleep. And then I ended up throwing up from then on. It was bad stuff I tell ya. Bad. So I ended up skipping my health class which you lose 5 points out 100 every time you miss for, and speech. I had to go to my other one though 'cause there was a test. Sooo... I had a sucky early morning/early day time. sad smiley
