TONIGHT'S SHOW IN CANTON

Oh my goodness, can I say WOW...ABSOLUTELY (no pun intended) freakin amazing....Totally worth the $30 I had to pay my nextdoor neighbor and her boyfriend to drive us there (it was for dinner, I figured it was the least I could do for nine days)

Let's start with the venue, Walsh University. Super small, looked like a high school gym, $3 to get in - you can't go wrong. We got right up front in front of John and we got there like 15 minutes before they went on, so not crowded. The acoustics were horrible, but the guys still sounded great. The vast majority of people there were total jerks, but there were another few hardcore fans like us up front. The jerks were either moshing, booty dancing, hoochie grinding, or worse yet throwing pizza at the guys.
The guys were AMAZING. Here was the set list:

Wonderful (excellent new Brian song)
End Up Alone (Got to hear how the song is all about the song being about many things including sex on the beach, and a monkey)

She Won't Get Away (excellent new John song)

Ocean (a different, kind of sped up version, it was working, they said it was closer to the demo version)
Absolutely (all of a sudden the jerks stopped being jerks to sing along - go figure, but it did have the beautiful 'Stairway to Heaven' intro and 'Sweet Home Alabama' interlude)
So Far Away

All in all a GREAT time. Personal hilights: being able to be the one from LI, climbing onstage to get a setlist, getting a drum stick, making my friend Kristin into a new nine days fan =) and defintely talking to the guys for 45 minutes after the show. THANK YOU JOHN, BRIAN, and NICK FOR MAKING OUR NIGHT

Info: Keith is really a great drummer. Jeremy is officially gone, the last Downtown was his last show. John explained that it was nothing person, but more the fact that the music they are writing doesn't have keyboard parts anymore so they decided to part on good terms. John's still not saying which label it is, only cause he doesn't want to jinx it all. SHU should be out in July, they'll be touring all summer, the first single will be Favorite Song, and there is a chance Dirty Poet and LeeLee will be added to SHU.

Ok guys, I know that was long but it was such an awesome show that it was worth it.

I agree with diana here..what a great show even the the acoustics sucked because of the gym(nothing could be helped there) the guys rocked out as always and it was cool to see them and talk to them again..cant wait for the new album and the tour..its goona be a great summer for te guys..hope all is well with everyone..until then~thomas

Ok, So I'm Kristin, the new Nine Days fan. I am officially not a Nine Days vrigin anymore. They were super cool and they played a great show. The acoustics sucked but you'll have that in a gym that looks like it belongs in high school. It was great to talk to them afterwards. Thanks John, Brian, and Nick for a super amazing first Nine Days experience. I can't wait to see them again.

Hey. Yup, show rocked! I had a ton of fun... I'm gonna put my pics up tomorrow (well, ok later today.) Anyhow yeah. What they said. (oh yeah, Diana- I totally know who you are... I was in the front with the green tank top and brown sweater over it, more toward brian) Anywho. Tons of drunk people... Opening band had some issues like feedback during every song.

Lets see... random things that happened (besides the bad acoustics)

1. They opened with two of my fave songs!
2. I actually knew several words to Wonderful since I saw them play it in MI in Feb.
3. Someone threw broccoli at the beginning... thats just weird.
4. Yes, there are subliminal messages in Favorite song being the first single
5. Keith remembered me from Chicago! YAY! And yes the shirt was from Urban Outfitters...
6. Everytime I went to take a picture of Nick, John totally walked in front of my camera. grrr. grrr. grrr.
7. I DIDN'T get lost! (first time ever... yes, I have driven around the block of the venue for half an hour before...)
8. HAMPLANDER! *hehehe* (you know who you are because we talked about it... send me an email or something, I'd love to get in touch. you rock!) to everyone else, dont ask...
9. The hot blonds totally ditched brian. hahaha

Anyhoo... yeah, it was a good time. Look for my pics later, like when one hour photo is open.... i doubt they are open at 1:30 am...

yay for Favorite Song! its one of the most radio friendly tunes on the cd, and its perfect for the summer.

And a tour? I am soooooooo there! I hope the come down here in south Florida.
