Pete Yorn

I don't know if anyone here is a Pete Yorn fan, but his new album came out, and I was wondering if anyone had heard it. When his first album came out, musicforthemorningafter, I remember half-jokingly referring to him as the next Dylan. That may have been a bit premature, but I am continually impressed with his talent for writing melody and musical composition. His songs don't seem especially technically difficult to play, nor are his lyrics as deep as some other young singer-songwriters wallowing in varying degrees of obscurity, but the guy has "something" that makes his songs infectious over time.

i have heard only good things about the new pete yorn album.

heard some of the songs live.. and they were awesome.

it'd be nice if there were some change in his voice and some sign of emotion, but there just isn't

pete yorn is great and its his music that creates emotion, im seeing him may 10th yay :-D

may 10...thats the day im going to the GotR concert. but its not one of those "come and be enlightened by my marvelous lyrical talent" concerts, its one of those "pay a million dollars to sit close enough to see the gorgeous lead singer and hope some of his sweat drips on you" concerts.

and im excited.

You're right Turkey.. it's so linear and I guess you just have to like that deep, unchanging voice.. because we all know that few people have a voice like that!
