I saw it, thought it was pretty good...but i was kinda drunk so...then again it wore off halfway through and i still liked it, so yea it was good.

X2 was a little disappointing...The effects were definitely cool, but there was a definite lack of plot, and it was a little dragged out. I don't like when movies don't follow the cartoons I used to watch. Those were awesome.

I rate a film on the mead scale of film quality (copyright)

MEAD SCALE

Fall asleep 0-10 mins into the film: Awful. And not awful in a good way either.
Fall asleep 10-20 mins into the film: Still pretty bad. Possibly good opening and/or hot chick
Fall asleep 20-40 mins into the film: Not nessesarily a bad film. More than likely you were out the night before.
Fall asleep 40 + mins into the film: Your odd.
Dont fall asleep: Good film

Easy, isn't it?

Hmm.. then for me, Armageddon must awful. Haha, that movie is quite action packed from what I got, but I still fell asleep almost right away.

I dunno if how fast you fall asleep is a good way to judge a movie, hehe. It could be the best movie in the world, but if you're tired, you're tired, hehe. Then again, I'm not saying Armageddon is great either 'cause from the bits and peices I got from it, I didn't really like it.

But there are movies I've hated that I stayed awake for just 'caues it's hard for me to fall asleep with that kind of distraction. Especially if it's in the theater.

But anywho, I don't know where I'm going with this, so I'm gonna shut up now, lol.

I'm not entirely sure where you are going with it either, but the input is gratefully received!!

(to be honest, the mead scale does have some flaws. I fall asleep watching films all the time. To combat this i have now taken to buying the largest drink they sell to keep me awake. (somthing about the size of a bucket!!))
Re: ot: x2
May 04, 2003 06:45AM
Ahhhh... noo buckets!! lol. Whenever I get the huge drinks, I always have to go to the bathroom like, almost instantly. Usually, even if I don't get anything to drink, I have to go to the bathroom by the end, like really bad. So buckets make it worse, haha.

And by the way, Jim, I just tried IMing you and you didn't answer me! ::weeps:: But nevermind, now you did.. smiling smiley.

...and yet I NEVER need to go before the film starts!!!
Re: ot: x2
May 04, 2003 06:54AM
Haha, are you saying that about yourself or as a continuation of what i was saying? 'Cause even if I do go before it starts, I still end up having to go when it ends. It sucks, haha. I think movie theaters just have that kind of influence on me. smiling smiley

It's no wonder people fall asleep during films. Especially the big budget blockbusters. It is on those particular films that they shoe-horn half a f ucking hour of advert b ullshit, followed by at least fifteen minutes of traillers before you even see the certification screens of the movie you actually paid to see........grrrr......

The guy that thought of adverts in movies needs kneecappin'......
