I Saw Harvey Danger

Last night. They played from midnight til 2 AM. Absolutely incredible set. Perfect blend between their three albums (AND THEY PLAYED DEFROCKED WHICH IS NEVER PLAYED EVER) great energy, audience participation (including bringing a fan onstage to sing and having giant cards to walk the crowd through a sing-a-long) and stellar musicianship.

I can now scratch another name off of my list of bands that I need to see before I die. Since I've now seen Springsteen, Matthew Good, Harvey Danger, Nine Days, Bright Eyes and Brand New, the only band I need to see are The Mighty Mighty BossTones and I can say I've seen all of my absolute top bands live.

Except the BossTones have broken up. But I doubt it's for good.

I don't dance either... I really don't know what I'm going to do at my wedding reception.... play all slow songs and make people fall asleep...haha.

i am jealous, sir. harvey danger came to madison, wi a couple of weeks ago, but i had to work. i got an e-mail from the HD mailing list, but it was such short notice. hopefully, they'll come around wisconsin again.
