Handy advice for the day

Handy advice for the day

1. Always, always look before you sit. One of our cats like to throw up like twice a day and I came home last night and sat in the recliner and there was this cold, wet feeling and I was like "Sammy puked, didn't he..." Of course no one cleaned it up before I came home, lol.

2. Lava lamps are supposed to seperate.. base and the actual lamp part. We had a garage sale today and we had one and this guy set it down by me and I picked it up to give it to him after he paid and the lamp came off the base and he was like "You broke it!!" and he was kidding, I figured out it's supposed to come apart, but it was still embarrassing. Luckily I'm the type of person that can laugh at myself in times like that.

3. If someone gives you a quarter for 10 cents worth of item, do not give them back 2 dimes and one nickel. My friend did that early this morning.

4. This isn't advice. but, left handers are just awesome. We had this book in the sale called The Left Handed book, or something like that and I read it last night and it was very interesting. Someone bought it.. I was like "That's a good book!" and she was like "Are you left handed?" hehe. Cool stuff.

5. Always check to make sure the program you plan, for two weeks, to go to is really in fact, going to take place at the time you think it will. My friend wanted to go to this variety show at the high school, and we went and there was like no one in the parking lot and all the doors were locked so we figured she saw that it was on May 3rd but didn't notice that it was an earlier time than the other shows.. like most take place at night but maybe this one took place around 3:00 or so.

So that's 4 rules of life to go by and one bit of information. Hope it helps ya.. or at least got a laugh or two. smiling smiley Or maybe it was all a bunch of useless typing, haha oh well, I had fun anyway. I'm gonna shut up now. smiling smiley

I'm left handed.

It's not so great.

All scissors are made for 'righty's' I think, and 'lefty's' look complete t wats when they try to cut something with right-handed equipment.

CUT, DAMNIT!

Yay! I was staring to think that no one was going to reply to this. I know what ya mean about "it's not so great". Ever notice how desks are always made for right handed people? Those pull out ones, or even regular ones only cover the right hand side, so that it's more conveniant for right handers. Then again, I don't really mind 'cause it means I put my right elbow on the desk, lean on that hand and right, all at the same time, while right handers don't have anything to lean on with their left arm.

And I know what ya mean about the scissors. They are evil. Anytime anyone sees me cut they're like.. "how do you do that? that is so weird!". My second grade teacher was especially evil about it, she hovered around me, trying to get me to do it the "right" way. But I like my way, so I don't care.

Anywho, Sketch, if you're still on you should IM me. I'm bored/writing a paper and need distraction, hehe. smiling smiley
