completely off topic question:

im 93% sure im going to get a small tattoo on my foot tomorrow, but i have heard that foot tattoos tend to not heal properly and look not so good. but i just think feet are so ugly and i want to decorate them with a little something, but then a friend of mine said i would end up hating it if i ever wanted to wear like a classy pair of heels or something. which is a good point. so if anyone has any pros or cons to help me make my decision, id appreciate it.


oh, and i forgot to mention: so since hand tattoos on girls always end up looking like ghetto prison tats, does the same go for foot tattoos?

its a big decision. for life.

i know a girl with a really pretty flower tattoo on her foot. its healed and its really sweet. go for it.

I'm not a fan of the foot tattoo...my sister's friend has a flower on her foot and i saw her at my parents reneeal of vows ceremony dressed up in nice sandals and this ugly tattoo sticking out.

I dunno Meliss. I wouldnt' do it.

ok mellissa my love....it depends on a lot of things like WHAT the tattoo is going to be (flower, butterfly, something pretty, then yes.....tweety bird or something ridiculous, then no....but i certainly would never imagine you would want to tattoo yourself with something ridiculous, so this argument is moot...)...and how small.....see, if it's going to be really small, then the issue of not wanting it hanging out when you're all dressed up is irrelevant because it won't be that big anyway, and i have one all the way around my ankle that had significance when i got it, has now lost it significance and is still pretty, and i still love it, and i still feel cool when i wear things that people can see it....i've almost forgeotten it's there. it just becaomes part of who you are.....i say go for it....tattoos are fun....britney has lots of them and she's a rockin' chick ;o) if you look at it as "no biggie" and keep that attitude about it, then you'll always love it, but if you go in all stressed out thinking of it as a lifetime commitment, which i know it is, but it's not a life or death thing, then you'll be fine......wow. i'm long winded this morning.....) i can't wait to find out what happens!

my girlfriend has a vine with a butterfly tatooed on her ankle, and i think it's awesome. i suppose it has to fit your personality or something like that, and it works well for my girlfriend.

I'm against all tattoos. I don't think any of them anywhere are attractive, let alone somewhere like a foot or hand. Both of which I hadn't ever even heard of until now. I'm one of those people who think bare, smooth skin is much more beautiful than a big chunk of colored scar tissue. You were right about it being a life long deal. Sure maybe your boyfriend will like it but what about your kids? Would you tattoo your kid?

I say no, don't do it.

I totally agree, I don't like tatoos all that much either. I know I'd never get one. But I'm not against other people getting them.. whatever makes them happy.

i, seriously, find it really attractive.. and piercings too.. but not to many...

like the guy i'm 'seeing' right now.. he's totally kewl... crazy hair.. tongue and labret and ears pierced.. a couple tattoos. one on his chest of the word 'hope' and an angel on his back...

Nothing personal. But as a budding cartoonist I must say that I find Scooby Doo to be the worst animation in the history of animation.

thanks everyone for the opinions, i really appreciate it. in the end i was going to just go to the tattoo place, look at the pics and see if they can even do what i want or if there was an alternative i might like better and decide then, but then the only two reputable tattoo places in the immediate area were closed for some reason. one for spring cleaning and one just isnt open on mondays or something. so now i have to wait for my next day off that coincides with my friends next days off, because i dont want to go alone, i need an entire circle of friends for support.

oh, and just to clear things up, no i dont have a boyfriend with a creepy thing for feet, and even if i did i would never permanently mark myself to satisfy some guys fetish. i just really think feet are disgusting, so i want to make them less hideous with a pretty little something. there are definitely certain parts of the body that are beautiful all on their own, but the foot is just not one of them.

so anyway, thanks guys!

ok.......scooby doo is a KIDS show....nobody asked you to watch...but i'm sorry you think so poorly of my "little buddy" as i saw the movie 4 times
