Nine Days Rip Off!!!

I was reading in todays Newsday about All American Rejects. They do the song called "Swing Swing". Cool article, but they don't really differentiate themselves from all the other bands that sound exactly like them. Anyway...

Their next single is going to be "The last song". I fired up Kazaa....


The intro is just like 257 Weeks! You hear someone going up and down the dial! Thats Crap!!!!!

Royalties!!!!!!

Well, I don't want to take away from the fact that they totally ripped off the intro to "257 Weeks", but I doubt that Nine Days was the first (or only) band to use the radio noise to start a song. In any case, I think the band is too busy working out their legal issues with Sony so they can get SHU released to be worried about suing other bands.

Fastball's "The Way" has the exact same thing at the beginning... And I am pretty sure that CD was out before The Madding Crowd (but I might be wrong...)

everytime iv ever heard the all american rejects song its had funeral music in the begining...and iv listened to it a lot

No, no, not "Swing Swing." Their next single, "The Last Song" is the one with the radio dial static.

uhhh.... while we are on the topic of aar...

go see them from 5/12-5/28 and catch the first band, limbeck, because... they rock.. =)

and, i'm sure they didn't steal it... you can only do so many things ONCE then you have to start over again... i don't think now there's anything as an "original idea"... just everything at least once done revised.
