So what's your favorite movie?

And you know, they're also books. But they'd take a lot longer to read than the movie was to watch.

I think they all suck. I dont like that stuff.

But the books are better than the movies, right?

I'm not so sure that it should have won the lot (Oscar-wise) but it is highly accomplished in terms of the GGI animation on Gollum, and I did find it quite entertaining.

I personally would have liked to see 'Lost In Translation'/Bill Murray get at least one for his performance in, or the direction of, that particular film.

It was very odd.

However, I'm thrilled to see that 'Finding Nemo' won 'Best Animated Film'....

.....

'Brother Bear' my arse.

.....

I'm also pretty chuffed that Pixar have still maintained their fallout with Disney. Haha. Best news I've had all day!

Given the upcoming movies 'The Incredibles(-2004)', and 'Cars(-2005)' and Pixar will be free, FREE I tells ya!

Woooooo! yawning smileyD

*Fingers crossed that they'll be able to survive on their own*

I think The Two Towers was short on plot, as far as the movies go. And if you just look at The Return of the King as a movie and not a book adaptation, it's incredible.

Imagine how poorly all the other movies nominated for adaptation fucked up THEIR books for LOTR to get it.

And yes, the books are much, much better, it they require an imagination and a lot of time to read. I'm reluctant to call them books because it's really just one book (or six, depending on how you look at it), but yeah.

mike you're a dick. i'm an avid reader, i even read some science fiction (my favorite of the genre is being made into a movie this year, i can understand the excitement), so to assume that i didn't know that the lotr movies were based on books, or that i couldn't read them, that's ridiculous.

and yes christina, lotr goes completely over my head. but you're so cute when you talk about it haha
