My friend George and some friends are playing a benefit on Friday. If you don't have anything going on, swing on down. The piece below is from Georges website. He has played in the area for 15+ years.
Back in the day,on the club circuit,we had a lot of friends. Friends in other bands that played the same clubs as we did,night after night,week after week.
One band we played with a lot was Motormouse,and one of their guitar players was Mark Boyer. Mark was stricken by a massive heart attack last month,and he needs help. That's where the Vixen boys come in.
Friday night,September 9th at Sgt. Pepper's in East Northport will be the Mark Boyer benefit show. Appearing will be Vixen (Joel Frix,George DiAna, Joey Sykes, and Ernie Lake) and Hot Shot (Joey Sykes, Bruno Ravel, and Manly Steve West). Also appearing will be Doctor Bombay and Nurse Diesel.
