It's so sad
You're so good and I'm so bad
But you won't see me wasting the best thing I ever had

Bobby's in the basement making his movie,
paints a little picture but not to be cheesy,
wants this little girl to beleive in him easy,
bristles through the canvas imagining he feels.....
Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh

Catchiest. Song. Ever.

So give me a little credit!!
Have in me a little faith!
I wanna be with you forever!!
If tomorrow's not too late

But it's always too late
When you got nothing
--so you say

Well you should never let the sunset on tomorrow
Before the sun rises today

Not keen on an awful lot pre-TMC, personally.

The Madding Crowd would be my benchmark for audible solidity. To my ear, it's when they found 'their sound' as a collaborative band, and as individuals... and splendid it all is too.

The writing was always there, but everything else seemed to fall into place audibly at the TMC crossroads for me. Despite whatever relations they might have with the big 'S' now, I'm not going to try and deny that their brush with the bigtime didn't do wonders for everything they've done since.

Whether it's conscious or not, I think the people they got to work with during their time under Sony did a lot more for ND than simply to release their record.

It added clarity, and the realisation to each and every member of the band that they really were, good enough. I don't think either John or Brian would still be persuing solo ventures if they weren't riding with the knowledge that they have what it takes.

That's my perspective on 'the old' anyway. Take or leave it.

I'll stop rambling now... and go do some work.

haha some of my old cds that I actually own would be:
-Britney Spears OOPS... I DID IT AGAIN (she was, WAS pretty cool);
-Eminem MARSHALL MATHERS (monumental!!!);
-N'SYNC (you're lying if you were never into them, waiting in line with all the girls for this CD was embarressing though);
-Maroon 5 SONGS ABOUT JANE (actually that one is sort of recent, but it's considered old because it always reminds me of this girl i fell for back in high school because she was the one who gave me the album)
