Last Night...

Last night I saw Weezer and Foo Fighters in concert (along with openers Kaiser Chiefs). Weezer played first, and started off shaky, but by three songs into the set they were rocking supremely. It is also amazing how much more I like their new CD after having heard a lot of those songs live. Bottom line- Weezer alone was worth the price of admission.

After the Weezer set, I was near deaf, then Foo Fighters comes out and they are even louder. I didn't think they had a real "clear" sound on stage, but they were also phenomenal. And- Dave Grohl is simply one funny guy.

Memorable quotes from the night:
Rivers Cuomo puts the microphone in front of a bunch of girls on the floor who start screaming. He then takes the mike back and says, "I was hoping for something a little more articulate. But I guess that works."

Dave Grohl telling a guy how sorry he was that the guy got kicked out, then making fun of the guy right after it.

Hearing Dave Grohl refer to himself as "Doctor G in the love sack"

Such a great time, not that anyone cares, but maybe someone likes one of these bands.
