JH new CD info...

yes, there will be a new CD....i even have a title, but i cant share it or someone will steal it...its that brilliant...and yes, its taking alot longer than i expected, and there are many reasons why...when i did the 5 song "Seventeenminutes...", it took me about 6 months to record, mix and press and that was with tons of prep. work ...this time i made the mistake of trying to transform 11 acoustic songs into fully realized, "band" versions while i was in the studio...very time consuming, at times frustrating and ultimately expensive...some worked right away and were fine, others became a game of chasing my tail and trying to figure out why the song wasnt working the way i heard it in my head...was it the drums? the bass? the vocals? etc, etc etc...when you record with a band, like nindays, you have an almost fully realized version of the song before you even get into the studio, so the actual recording is more acedemic...when you basically play everything yourself, it can be very rewarding when your "vision" isnt compromised in any way, but it can also make you a bit psycho because you are now intimate with every nuance of every note...that being said, i also wrote a few new songs that i want on the CD, so i am now working on them...i wont say when it will be out, but i am more anxious than anyone to finish and let you hear it! it better be good after all this time, right? so thats just a little added pressure i put on myself...just know that this isnt uninspired, pretend work...its real and i will finish it.

Thanks for answering my question in this update John, I am just so glad it's still happening. You take your time since you can't rush art, I didn't know you were doing everything yourself. You are very talented indeed.
