I really can't decide. SHU has 12 great songs, there's no song I don't really like (Ocean and Great Divide will never be my fav, but the songs are ok). TMC has one freakin' song I dislike a lot: Back To Me. But, TMC has really good Nine Days classics like So Far Away, 257, End Up Alone, Bitter and Wanna Be. Compared with Marvelous, Favorite Song, Everything and I Feel Fine... it's so difficult to choose. Maybe these album can not be compared actually. I keep it on a tie.
The Madding Crowd because it's better and sounds different than other alt rock out there

Yeah I agree with ryan. SHU will need a while longer before it can compare with all of the memories TMC holds
Still a tie Genesis. Yeah, and I know what you mean. Sometimes, when I listen to SHU and Ocean comes, I think... wow, this is such a cool song, so strong, but when Brian sings 'todaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay' I always have to vomit..... I hate that part, but I still like the song, but not as much as the other 10. And you're saying I like lots of Brians tracks, but that is only for some tracks. Back To Me, Ghosts in a dustbin and All My Reasons are terrible songs in my opinion.
And why do you all hate Good Friend?? Have you heard it just too much? The song is really a masterpiece. Listen to the lyrics, to the music, it's awesome.

TMC because i like the style of music much more.. plus it has great jeremy songs like 257 weeks.. it's like every member put in an equal amount.

ok first "SHU" hasn't been released yet should be out by last summer as per john (i have it on tape) , as for the 3 other cd's they were released by the band b4 they got signed to that shitty lable called epic/sony/550music !!!

well..when i hear absolutely i think its kinda stupid but i still find myself singing it. Why does everyone here dislike Good Friend? I mean, its a little dry and repeated, however I consider it one of my favorites just for the two verses. Eh, we all have our opinions, though do share why...

I mean, this album is a very important part of my life, but there is more to all of these songs; and there is more to good friend than one line in the chorus... Most of us hear it and can see a certain person's picture in our heads -- and that's probably one of the best things a song can do for you. Who doesn't have a best friend?

Don't Look Back is simple too I guess, but that's why this song is so cool. It sounds as rough as Revolve and it's really great to sing along with.

I heard the same thing, I like what it's about though, I mean if you think about it the word 'fine' is always a lie...nothing is ever "fine". Seen the Italian Job? Eh neways its an interesting to think about bc people say it all the time. And its in 3/4 time. freaky.

Im going to have to say "The Madding Crowd". While there are some incredible, and superior songs on "So Happily Unsatisfied" I think that "The Madding Crowd" has MORE good songs.
And that is how I feel about that.

i think there both great and personally i think "good friend" is my fave song and first time i heard it was the night before my mate went away for a year, was really appropriate
