In 30 days from November 9th, the banning of public smoking in Washington state will take into effect. People will not be able to smoke in restuarants, bars, non-tribal cosinos, or any other public places and establishments. Futhermore, smokers must be atleast 25 feet away from any doors or windows when smoking, passer by'ers are exempt.
I wonder how they plan to really get this under control, seeing how little police coverage we already have in Seattle. An example was when I was trying to remove a tresspasser the other day from a private property I guard and the cops came 3 hours later after the initial call.
And from speculation, it seems that these lawmakers will see the ditch they dug themselves into in the next election because Seattle, one of the major cities of Washington, is the home to many smokers. That's just something my colleague yesterday brought up to me that sounded interesting.
Hey, atleast now when I go to the casinos with some of my buddies, I won't have to worry about choosing casinos that we think have less smoke.
I support not smoking, but think this is RIDICULOUS!!!
Washington got balls!
