1. wine tasting on the north fork of Long Island.. im sure you can find a bus tour starting from NYC somewhere.
2. check out a yankee game.. its the last season playing at Yankee Stadium 3. go to staten island via ferry, realize that you are very happy not to live there and then go back to manhattan 4. Go out to Montauk--cool town---nice beaches 5. convince Lou to have another bbq concert at his place. That was good times.

Dont go wine tasteing on li it sucks. goto the hudson valley. goto central park and just lay there on the great lawn. party at Brother Jimmies. hang out on Bleeker st one night and check out some music. Take a cruise around Manhattan,or the staten island ferri which is free. have dinner in little Italy.goto union square, shop on Broadway, south st seaport is cool.Absolutely goto a Yankee game, take the 4 express subway yeah.chelsea piers rocks! did i mention the great lawn in central park? oh and goto the Ninedays bbq at scotts!
Brian is now a wine tasting snob/expert. the north fork is awesome---just make sure you have a good weather day and a sunroof--it makes the wine taste better.
You want her to cruise around on the staten island ferry? What did she ever do to you? oh yeah.. and dont forget the Desveaux show at the house.
Long Island is Beach, how can you grow good grapes on dat??? some of the whites are ok but the reds are hidious. upstate region land is mountainy and rocky, rugged soil, reminiscent of south France.Rhone, Burgundy. and much more scenic.yeaaahhhhh should be back in ny for bruce the end of july into aug bbq then maybe

I'm not in NY so I can't help there, but I thought I'd offer up my DC/Baltimore/Annapolis expertise in case anyone ever needs that.
...I'm also writing down all the NYC stuff to do since I plan to get up there and be semi-touristy some day soon.... ~KT "you should never let the sun set on tomorrow before the sun rises today"
Brian I thought you drank beer. When did you become a silly wine snob?

Sofi, I'm going to be at that game! I'll be the guy wearing a Brian McBride USMNT top and a sequin Uncle Sam hat double fisting Yuengling. I'll buy you a 12 dollar beer.
Do you know much about baseball other than it's a long, slow, drawn out game? NY-Boston is always awesome to be at, especially if there are Boston fans sitting around you. The abuse is lovely. -Mike Post Edited (06-29-08 20:42) Go listen to my band. We're awesome. http://www.myspace.com/rosencrantzny weallgotwoodandnails
He'll be back playing in the States before long, either for Toronto or Columbus.

The sum of my experience of baseball comes from being in Boston in the autumn of 2004 when the Red Socks beat the Yankees in the World Series. My boyfriend forbid me to bring my Red Socks hat ) Gotta love the men trying to be all sporty and manly whilst running about in leggings.
I'll be the little blonde English girl with heart-shaped glasses getting far too over-excited at trying (unsuccusfully) to cheer for both teams. IM SO EXCITED!! ~ Sofi ~ "And so tomorrow there will be another number for the one who had a name."

I'm planning my 1st trip to NY August 21-25. It would be awesome if there was a nine days show...pie in the sky hope.
I was thinking about just doing the basics: Seeing something on Broadway (I heard the Little Mermaid and Mary Poppins are really good) Times Sq., Empire State, Central Park, Ground Zero. I really want to eat some amazing food too. I love all kinds, but I don't want to spend more that $40...any ideas? -Bryce, Utah
