I would consider naming my band Brian or the Jewish Guy.
Thanks for the update Brian --Sounds like you're living in an unfeasibley awesome household! Looking forward to hearing the new stuff.

I think Jeremy said in another thread that they're working on getting stuff onto international iTunes.

My ex-room mate used tea towels to wipe up spills. He also stuck over-40's porn all over the flat on more than one occasion.

Hey Genesis, weren't you going to do a cover of a song by the Honeyz for me like two summers ago?
I was looking forward to that. Or did I totally dream that up?

Remember not to cuss in front of your child or your child will think that it's kosher to cuss.
Which it's not.

After the last album, it's not a massive loss.
It's a shame they never lived up to the potential that shone on their first two albums though.

Much as I love the retro-homeliness of this board, I think maybe it's time we got a new forum.

Kind of ironic to spend almost 50 lines telling people what to do then end with "thou shalt think for yourselves," don't you think?

Is it actual seaweed? Cause that stuff they have in Chinese restaurants is actually cabbage.
However, the brown sugar-like stuff they put on it is - in face - ground fish. So the gross factor sorts of evens itself out.
USAFALL, the Brit awards took place almost exactly one month ago. Why are you posting about it now?

Not remastered, rerecorded. With Timbaland as producer and Jandek on vocals.
It'll blow your mind right out your ass.

You're glossing over the simple fact that Nine Days did have a major record deal back in the Madding Crowd/ So Happily Unsatisfied days. Having a label and having label support are clearly very different things. They don't just wave a magic wand for you that makes you the biggest band in the world.
Maybe a new record deal would help boost the band's profile, or maybe they'

I don't think it's hugely likely for a cover to be on part two. Could happen though, I guess.

I wonder if John or Brian could tell us whatever happened to "American Girl?"
It struck me today how awesome the acoustic version of "Good News" is. I'm not a huge fan of the full-electric version; don't get me wrong, it's a good song. It just seems to work better a bit more stripped-down.
So imagine the 81st street version with some snazzy jazz piano and m

The only difference between major labels and indies is that majors stab you in the back with a more expensive knife. In truth they can both be as bad as each other. As Elliot Smith once said, "...despite the fact that sometimes people look at major labels as simply money-making machines, they're actually composed of individuals who are real people, and there's a part of them that

Sannen, that was because you were talking about the 1994 demos (which to be fair, you do quite frequently). The demos we're referring to are from 2003-2006 time, and might actually have a chance of being recorded by Nine Days in the future.

Isn't there a new song called "Different Dreams" or something along those lines, or did I dream that up.
"Absolutely Everything" or "Subway Musician" would fit nicely. As would "Worse than it Seems," although given the choice of that or a new song I'd definitely opt for a newie.

"Born with a heart defect, I am my father's son
One day I will be here, the next day I'll be gone
So could I steal a moment of your time?
A dreamer's eyes are always open wide
I will not let you feel you wasted all your time
When every day we had was one more day that you were mine"

I don't think I can honestly order by preference - believe me, I've tried. So instead I'll just write what I think of each song on the album (whilst listening to them)

Much much better than I remembered. I listened to the demo once and wasn't totally wild about it, then forbid myself to listen to it again until I got the CD. The chorus is a

Well we got "Brand New Me" and "Suddenly" on part one, so I wouldn't totally rule out all the demos from a few years back. I think Brian was referring more to the old-old songs from the demos way back, rather than the songs that have been floating about in the past few years.
