I wasn't that impressed with Tarzan. His harmony vocals were a little flat and he didn't have a crisp bass sound. Plus, he looks a little dopey.

Let's hope John was totally kidding when he said that.
Although they do say that there is truth in jest.
I think Nick is much better on base than the Tarzan
bassist that John has now.

Vinnie - 20 years ago
By the way, I am sure anyone who was at the
Mercury Lounge on March 1 will agree:
Vinnie fuckin' kicks ass on the drums!!! I seriously
think he is the best drummer I have ever heard.
But what's the deal with him leaving the band
over and over again and now joining John's solo
band? Whatever the case, John is lucky to have
him. I saw NineDays at that Jersey festival thing

John, would you mind sharing with us how many CDs you had printed up for your solo CD and how many you had printed for FTCJ?
I am psyched for you guys that you are selling your stuff, but I am just curious as to how many CDs we're talking about.
By the way, great show at the Mercury Lounge. I was happily surprised to see Vinnie and Jeremy in the band. (That makes 3/5s of NineDays.)

Sorry about the bad information about the short set and about John going on at 7:00. That is what the club told me. They probably just wanted people there a little early to sell extra drinks! Ha!
Great show though! I spoke to John and Vinnie after and they both seemed very happy with the gig. Rock on!!

I checked with the club and John goes on at 7:00, not 7:30. It is going to be a very short set, so I wanted to make sure everyone got the right time.

I ask the question out of confusion, because unless Nick is going to start writing music for the band, it doesn't sound like there will be any new material in the future.

Here is my take on the status of the band: I would compare it to a married couple that still loves one another, but they are bored with each other and have started seeing other people. In the meantime, they are maintaining the marriage (while separated), but you can tell that it is only a matter of time.
And now I ask you this, why do John and Brian each feel they will have greater success on

Is it just me, or does anyone else think that Brian looks a little like Sam in "Lord of the Rings?"
Brian is, of course, a cool dude - so I don't mean this as an insult.

From the web site and the opening night show, I am sure they have sold well over 300 copies by now. If they have not, then every musician might as well hang up there guitar because it would not be AT ALL worth it.

100 is crazy! They would have sold 100 just to family and friends on the first day. These guys did have a number one song!

Really? I thought that was a conservative number. What would you guess?

Does anyone know someone in the band personally so they can find out how the CD sales have been going. I would assume that they would have sold at least 3,000 CDs by now.

Is it just me, or does anyone else think it is funny that Vinnie has left the band and come back twice?! And the last time that he left he said something about "never sharing a stage with John Hampson again."
That said, I'm glad that he is back because he is the best drummer they will find.
Rock on Vinnie!!

Vinnie? - 20 years ago
Is Vinnie permanently back in the band, or did
he just fill in for the CD release party?
I think this is the second time that Vinnie has
left the band and then come back. Does anyone
know the story behind the "drummer drama?"
I don't know about the drama, but I will say
that I think Vinnie is one of the best drummers
that I have ever heard, so I hope they work
things out and he

1) Am I hearing things, or is Vinnie really back in the band as the drummer?
2) Does anyone know the guys in the band well enough to know how the CD sales have been going? (Both John's solo EP and the new band CD.)
Thanks!

Hey John and Brian,
I think a lot of loyal fans like myself would love to hear how the new CD sales go. Could you please update us from time to time with a posting.
Also, John, I think we would all also love to know how your solo EP has
been selling.
I bought both albums the first morning they were available!
Thanks,
Ron

Has anyone else noticed that the lyrics on John's web site for the song "Answer" don't perfectly match the actual song?
In the actual song, he sings "I am aware I'm dreaming," but on
his web site it reads "I am awake and dreaming." I personally
prefer the lyrics the way he sings, so that worked out well, but
I was curious as to when and why he change
