"If you stick with one night stands, you'll never get hurt. At least, that's my guess."
Seems pretty true. Why do guys go to such ridiculous lengths to convince you that they're one of the good ones when they're not? If you're gonna put that much effort into seeming nice, wouldnt't it be a lot easier to actually BE nice?

"why not just tune it right during the break, mitch?"
Sure, if you want to hear all your favourite songs butchered by out of tune guitars. It's unpolished but necessary. Nothing worse than seeing a band that don't give a **** about how they sound to you.

They were just really distant and seemed like they didn't wanna be there at all. Barely spoke throughout the set, and the only time they did was to talk about how beautiful the waterfalls in Virginia are. Fair enough, I've been to the Shenandoah valley....it IS pretty gorgeous, but it's not let-me-take-up-five-minutes-of-my-fourty-minute-set-to-talk-about-how-moved-I-was-by -some-w

Email someone in the band and they may well send you another...worth a shot, no?

I tend to end up taking one drag of a cigarette in the drunkest of states, and it sends me into a full on rant about how gross smoking is and is enough to make me leave fags alone for the next 6 months. I think it only happens because all of my friends smoke and I find the smell of cigarette smoke really appealing when drunk, so while I'm entirely oblivious to any kind of peer pressure, ther

Thanks guys. You can always rely on this board to be ridiculously helpful!
Southhampton's just too close to home.
So Oxford is pretty much the most beautiful city in England! And the people are SO friendly! I met a professor who's trying to cure Parkinson's and a woman trying to cure HIV. I love how everyone's so enthusiastic and down to earth about being some of the mo

To be honest, like **** I want to go to America before being 21 anyway )
I'm pretty keen on Bristol, I have a buch of friends that live out there and a few at the Uni who all love it. It would possibly allow me to study abroad for awhile too, which was really why I wanted to go to Manchester. I don't think it's THAT hard to get into; there are no admissions tests and standard offe

I can apply to four medical schools, so I was looking to choose four from Oxford, Bristol, Manchester, Leeds and UCL. My dad keeps trying to get me to go out to the States, but that's not gonna happen.
Oxford sounds incredible; I used to think I'd like to go to a big city but now I'm realising somewhere slightly smaller with some sort of community-base might be a lot better, es

I'm so pleased about this new wave of touring! And so happy lots of people are finally getting to see you after such long waits.

You people are so helpful. Truely, I really appreciate this.
Went to Manchester today, sorry Genesis, really not happening. I tried so hard to like it 'cos I really thought I would love to go there but it just has no buzz. Obviously it'd be a lot more interesting during term time but the whole place is just too big and impersonal and in the city the people just aren't that friend

Does it have that option where it takes 3 photos in quick succesions? That's pretty much the only way I can get stable shots off a tripod; it takes to quickly to get the three in in the space of one, so there's no time for much movement. Plus with three pictures its more likely that John doesn't have his eyes shut (does John ALWAYS have his eyes shut for the whole duration of shows

Never first thing when I get up, it too much of a shock to the system, and never right before I go to bed. So generally just sometime when I get a moment during the day, usually early evening after school/work before going out or just after I run.

I'm currently supposed to be making big decisions about where to apply to medical school in October and I don't really know where to start. I generally get the impression everyone loves whatever uni they end up at, but I'm sure there are quite a few people with regrets. So, to the cleary older and wiser of this message board;
How did you choose the university you went to?

Getting older's alright. It's the growing up part that's over-rated.
Happy birthday! May you be young and irresponsible for many years to come.

So I've decided I really like Peroni and Carlsberg and Becks (I'm sorry, Kevin!) and some nice little variant of strawberry beer, although Carlsberg does really just taste like shandy. Stella-tasting will follow but now I'm beered out, it's been a fun/educational weekend.
And I don't live off Strongbow because it smells like tramps and vomint and reminds me of dodgy 13-
