THE BIGGEST FAN!!
Okay people, let's hear why you think YOU are the biggest Nine Days fan...
Here is why I think I am: !) I have seen them perform in New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey and North Carolina. 2) I have personally met each of the original band members (not just shook hands, but had conversations). 3) I play (on guitar) and sing at least five different Nine Days songs. 4) I was at the Bitter End when they first played Story of a Girl years ago. 5) I have an ancient demo tape from a gig in the village that has If I Am, Story of a Girl, and Lost You on it. 6) I went to their CD release party in Long Island and got all of their signatures on my Madding Crowd CD. I could go on, but let's see what others have to say... -Ron
ok, here goes *smirk*
1. I've never seen Nine Days perform live ...or on tv or anywhere else for that matter. wait! no i remember i've seen the Teusday Morning video from the bitter end. of course, brian had long hair and that was just scary more than anything else :p 2. I have never met any of the band members or had a serious conversation with them 3. I play (on guitar) loads of their songs 4. I was in my bed about to go to sleep with headphones when i first heard Story of a Girl. 5. ancient .....village.... uh .... =\ 6. Can i see those signatures so i could possibily forge them? thanks =) yep, biggest fan ...right here, sure of it ~Ryan~
Ok, here it goes.
1. Out of the 300+ albums I have purchased, The Madding Crowd is the best album I own. (SHU will take it's place, i hope) 2. I have never seen them live, no matter how much I have tried. The closest I came was that when they came to St. Louis to play at the St. Louis Fair & Air Show. St. Louis is my home, but I just happened to be away for my first year at Purdue University. I tried to get my parents to come get me, couldn't have a car, and tried to get Y98.1, the show's sponser, to get me there. So I asked my mom to go. I listened to the entire show over my cell phone while she held hers up the entire time. Afterwards my mom, who is quite amazing by the way, got a T-shirt signed by the entire band. Then she asked if they wanted to talk to their biggest fan. I talked to each member as they passed the phone around. That was a great day. 3. For my friends birthdays I give them The Madding Crowd, and not a copy. 4. There are no words to explain how I felt when I first heard SHU, or when I found out they were making a CD on their own. 5. I'm on my second copy of The Madding Crowd, and there is nobody more carefull than I with my CD's. 6. The Madding Crowd goes wherever I go, and is played in every CD player I see. Have a nice day!
i enjoy the music and it touches me
there you go -Mike Go listen to my band. We're awesome. http://www.myspace.com/rosencrantzny weallgotwoodandnails
alright Ryan... i agree
though i did drive up to Kenosha, WI once to see them and meet them. That was the best concert i've ever been to. not even kidding. they probably dont remember it or me... i think i was the only one who was a real fan, the rest were just students at the college who signed up for the $12 concert with Dishwalla. I did yell the names of the new songs out, before most people downloaded it. I had the album last august...or something. yeah i definetly picked up on them when they released good friend, but loved if i am before that. at this point im just rambling. later- ps- was anyone else at that concert? whos hat did john take and wear? someone here? later friends -Brian
Ya know what i think, this post is pointless. Everyone here on this board thinks that they are ninedays' biggest fan including myself and will not believe anything to the contrary. We could each spend pages writing why we are the biggest fan and never get anywhere. Let's just leave it at that
Rock On

why do people have to always prove their fandom?
why isnt liking the music enough? some dont have the money or ability to travel far. others cant seem to find the older albums so they dont have the whole "nine days collection". theyre not websavvy enough to make a fansite. they dont even have a computer so they cant post on a message board. how about everyone just be equal as fans? or is that just a crazy idea.
i totally agree with steph
who cares who is a bigger fan and who "does more" we are all here for a certain reason....nine days i mean come on I must be somewhat of a devoted fan to have been on the nine days board from june 17th 2000 9:17 pm to the present....posting over 3000 posts... that doesnt make me the biggest fan.... BUT it doesnt make you the biggest fan either.... I wonder what its like to be remembered- John Hampson
