17 Minutes and 38 Seconds in the dark

Isn't it an awesome title??? I definitely love it. But is that supposed to mean??? Obviously it's the lenght of the 5 songs. In the dark? Maybe the best way for john to be inspired, or the best way for us to listen to those songs... But the only thing i'm sure of is that this EP is anything but dark. I'd say that it must be definitely bright, just like all the ninedays records. Can't wait to listen to these songs, and since my ass is settled in France, i hope i'll be able to buy it...

i've been to the solo gigs that john has done since i live near the downtown in Farmingdale, NY. although i can't remember all the titles of which songs he played, but none of them sounded extremely dark. the word i would choose to describe them is beautiful. whoever said that was definately right. they had nice melodies. i do remember "29 year old girls" in particular, since it was my favorite. i can't wait until he releases his EP. maybe by "in the dark" he meant he wants us to close our eyes and listen? (grins)

I'm pretty sure "29 Year Old Girls" was listed as being on the new Nine Days record. Let me double check.
