just a quick question to anybody who knows. what exactly does john(or at least i think its john) say at the very start of the track. its been annoying 4 ages so if anyone could enlighten me that would be great............thanx

they did those little intro thingies several times during TMC

somebody said a while ago that john and brian or somebody were rehearsing a play or reading a poem or something in the recording studio and the recording started and they didnt know, and in the final cut it sounded cool, so they left it there.

i always thought that, too (about coconut trees not having vines), but i think that adds to the funness of the song. they talk about a monkey for christ's sake!
If I remember correctly it was a combination of two of the above answers....its from a movie and one of them was reciting lines and didn't know that they were recording...but they decided it would be fun/cool to leave it in....It's so sad that i really don't remember since I actually asked John before a show on time. Oh well...i think that's what it is...but if i am wrong please don't jump all over me.

Well.. He says it kind of fast and not too clearly. It sounds like "fury" is in there. I think if I listen to it enough I could figure it out, but it isn't bothering me that badly.. lol. Good luck guys!
