college
i know there are a few of us on here graduating this year...me steph just to name two...i was just wondering what college everyone who will be graduating in 2004 will be going to or looking into going to and what your major is going to be
me- Youngstown State University University of Cincinnati(prolly go here) Major Classics (Latin)/education I wonder what its like to be remembered- John Hampson
All of you are going to UM down in sunny Florida with me so we can hang out and you'll all work at the radio station and the TV station and the concert booking agency with me and it will be super duper cool and I'll know everything will be in good hands when I *sniffle* graduate and leave college. And that's final.
And I can't believe I'm talkin' about graduating college next year in a thread where everyone's talking about graduating HS. Damn I'm old. When did I get old? I was like y'all's age when I started posting here. *has quarter-life crisis* hehe Dar --- Live your life just how you love to live it, things will all fall into place. Take your strife and try your best to sing it, in the end you'll meet your friends - Gabe Dixon Band
don't declare a major freshman year
take a bunch of different classes and see what happens -Mike Go listen to my band. We're awesome. http://www.myspace.com/rosencrantzny weallgotwoodandnails
theatre arts are whack
go with psychology and have fun pscyho-analyzing your friends and family but if you get a bio-psychologist teacher, run for the hills they have no imagination -Mike Go listen to my band. We're awesome. http://www.myspace.com/rosencrantzny weallgotwoodandnails
art is the only thing i can do anymore... so i decided to go to school for it, while i can't study theatre arts at my school... i applaude the tulane kid for making the most of his liberal arts education...
as for mike... dissing art and then complaining about his chosen field having no imaginiation? [smirk] i'm still trying to add that up bro.
i'm not dissing art, psychology is just more fun
and there is tons and tons of imagination in psychology, as long as you're not dealing with bio-psychologists, who are nothing more than biologists (who lack imagination) -Mike Go listen to my band. We're awesome. http://www.myspace.com/rosencrantzny weallgotwoodandnails
good. psych is the way to go. lots of money, too. won't be a starving artist on the street.

i'm undeclared right now but leaning towards either psych or english, probably psych seeing as i'm more likely to make money doing that

you can be a happy, well-fed psychologist who sleeps in a bed, too
when it comes down to it you're more likely to be happy when you're not sleeping on the sidewalk and eating a bologna sandwhich a week but hey -Mike Go listen to my band. We're awesome. http://www.myspace.com/rosencrantzny weallgotwoodandnails
go for it
who said love's dead? -Mike Go listen to my band. We're awesome. http://www.myspace.com/rosencrantzny weallgotwoodandnails
i will NEVER eat bologna.... and i could care less if i have lots of money, i'd like to live yeah, i'd like to make art that means something yeah, i'm going to be living in london yeah.
being an actor doesn't mean you have to be a movie star. you can be an artist and not be starving. i'd rather be on stage anyway. and if i fall in love i'll get married... hasn't happened yet but i'm only 19 ;o)
first off, Oscar Mayer Bologna is the food of the gods.
second off, god speed third off, Boston Red Sox still can't get it done -Mike Go listen to my band. We're awesome. http://www.myspace.com/rosencrantzny weallgotwoodandnails
I'm still basically undecided... second year of school, haha. I've considered doing psychology... haha, people that major in pyschology are weird, least the ones I know that did.
I had a friend try theater and she kept auditioning for plays and not making it, so she talked to her counselor who said it'd probably be better to change her major and that even the best actors at the school probably didn't have much chance of making it... Anyone know of anything good for someone that likes English and Music? Haha. "It's not always rainbows and butterflies it's compromise that moves us along"
people who do psychology aren't weird. they're just so damn cool that everyone thinks they're weird because they can't comprehend the sheer coolness of the brain and whenever people don't understand something, they lash out against it..
English... can you write? i don't mean "i can put together sentences" or "i can write mediocre works of short fiction that my mother hangs on the refrigerator." i mean can you actually write? and reading a hell of a lot and then writing about it. lots of people loathe writing. on a simlilar note, my english teacher doesn't know when to use a semicolon. i had to teach the class that. isn't that dandy? -Mike Go listen to my band. Hmmm... well.. I can write, but I'm not the best... not the worst either. So I probably won't try that as a main career option, lol. I may write on the side and see where it goes...
And yeah, that is dandy. "It's not always rainbows and butterflies it's compromise that moves us along"
just remember: there's always the adult film industry.
