So i was listening to this song and thought the lyrics were great and then i got to this part and laughed out loud:

I love those lyrics, I like how brian put that in there

Haven't listened to john's new stuff yet, i'm getting there

Man this is a great song! I LOVE IT.

I heard it first on the July for Kings message board where we were talking about Bachelor Bob's new single "Girlfriend" which was originally done by July For Kings.

For what it's worth, Bachelor Bob did write the other 9 songs on his new album unlike Mr. Guarini, Miss Clarkson, and Mr. Aiken. Of course Bob was lead singer of a band called Fat Amy for a long time (I've been a fan since '95).

Anyway... seriously, this song rocks. I might just have to buy the CD. Saw Nine Days in concert when they warmed up for Vertical Horizon and Third Eye Blind a while back, they put on a good show. I'd go see 'em again.

This song's growing on me really quick. Very catchy. It's fun making fun of stupid things

haha. i also laughed out loud when i head that verse...ahhhh great stuff. i think this cd's gunna be quite different. ya know almost all their past stuff is about relationships, here they're giving the finger to Sony...it's great!

As I said in the other thread about this song...

Yeah, I dig this song as well. The chorus hook is really there, definitely a well crafted tune....just as we've come to expect from Brian. Although, I'll admit, for such a well written and structured song (melodically and musically) I think the lyrics are kind of a let down, and bring the song down a bit from what it could have been, even though I know they're written as a joke and a stab at the **** that's on tv these days. It's just that different lyrics might have made the song stronger, less dated, more meaningful, etc.

Then again, that's after only a couple listens. Perhaps my mind will change.
