10 Favourite Rock Songs !
Hey Guys, hope you all are quite fine :-)
If you want you could make your own Top 10 of your favourite songs in here. Just rank the songname and artist. I made 2 categories so you don?t have to mix up fast things with slower songs. Please call each artist/band just one time. Here are my timeless Classic Hits: Alternative: 01. Song II - Blur (1997) 02. I hear you calling - Gob (2001) 03. Spaceman - Babylon Zoo (1995) 04. Closing Time - Semisonic (1995/6) 05. Everything you want - Vertical Horizon (2001) 06. Hedonism - Skunk Anansie (1998) 07. Counting Blue Cars - Dishwalla (1997/8) 08. Hella Good - No Doubt (2001) 09. Boys of Summer - The Ataris (2003) 10. My Way - Limp Bizkit (2000) Slow Onez: 01. Stay - Lisa Loeb (1994) 02. Kiss the Rain - Billie Myers (1995) 03. Wanna Be - Nine Days (1999) 04. Stand by your woman - Lenny Kravitz (1991) 05. Everybody Hurts - R.E.M. (1993) 06. Dancing - Elisa (2002) 07. I ain?t missing you - John Waite (80ies) 08. Iris - Goo Goo Dolls (1998) 09. Fields of Gold - Sting (1993/4) 10. Hotel California - Eagles (70ies) 10,5. (ok I?m cheating) Purple Rain - Prince (80ies) 11. .... no - I will stop here ;-) Excited to read yours.... Thanx Dominik P.S. Realised that I need almost 100 places minimum to make a list which is a bit more correct than this one.... ;-) I know that MUCH (very much) is missing. Just wrote down the songs I imagined to remind in less than 5 minutes ! I think when I?m watching the list tommorrow it will be incorrect ! *lol*

I've been brought up on modern music, so older music just isn't that well suited to my tastes. That's my excuse. Which reminds me of a worrying thought: One day Nine Days, Feeder, Radiohead et al. will be classed as "Dad Rock"! Scary...
OK, being old makes this list even harder to think about but in the thick of it all this list may get some younger folks to check out the older rock bands of the 70's and 80's.
Here it is: 1-Jamie's Cryin'-Van Halen 2-Grand Illusion-Styx 3-You?re my best friend-Queen 4-Ultimate Sin-Ozzie 5-Tom Sawyer-Rush 6-Telephone Line, E.L.O. 7-Athena-The Who 8-Trapped under ice metallica 9-Marvelous-Nine days 10-Round and Round-Ratt I could also throw in about 10 Boston songs and a bunch from Jimi Hendrix. The list would take too long to compile. I would also throw in Roads and Maps from Something Corporate but I think that the newer music hasn't been out long enough to place on a list like this
1. Train - Drops Of Jupiter
2. Matchbox Twenty - Disease 3. Carlos Santana feat. Rob Thomas of Matchbox Twenty ? Smooth 4. Sister Hazel - All For You 5. Nine Days - If I Am 6. Sensefield - Save Yourself 7. Creed - With Arms Wide Open 8. Goo Goo Dolls - Sympathy 9. Hootie & The Blowfish - Innocence 10. Five For Fighting - Superman(It's Not Easy) Considering the list was already on my site, it was quite easy for me. - Amir Webmaster of www.amirsmusicworld.com
Genesis with the politically correct...I don't download!!!! I do believe you....really. From an ex-musician, I would be happy if someone just heard our music but when these groups get big they complain about it.Thats what got them there in the first place. Greed gets you nowhere. Metallica is a prime example of that. By them speaking up about it, their CD sales went down. Bands that said they didn't mind, their exposure increased.. John will attest to the fact that you can never turn your back on the ways you generated fans. Not for one second, you can blink and it's all over. Thus the reason why John released all the newer songs for all of us.
One way to generate fans is to create demo's and give them out at shows or you can put them on garageband or any other basement area and hope people listen. Charging for them is almost impossible so really it's the same concept. If I don't like 5 songs out of twelve I do not buy!!! I wouldn't download either if these record companies didn't force junk down our throats. But we wont get into that. It just upsets me to no end. Anyway,Ratt was there but I could have put so many in place of that but I kept hearing it in my head along with Dokkens "It's not Love" but I had to put something for that Era. It's scary when I cannot come up with just ten I need a list of about 100.
Hey Ron
I just wanted to tell you, I got to see radiohead at Jones beach opening for Alanis Morrisett( Iguess thats how you spell it, I am too lazy to check) and what a great band they are.Totally love them. i personally liked them better than Alanis at the time so it turned out to be a great night for me. Noone knew who they were at the time. There were lots of bugs flying around..so much that Alanis had cans of "Off" that she was throwing to us in the crowd.. RadioHead was really great live...I will say they are even better live than in the studio.
