i just downloaded this new john song from his live acoustic show. wow. i think it's really friggin' good. he never ceases to amaze me. i think it's now my favorite solo song by him. i really dig the lyrics. anyone else heard it or downloaded it? go here if you haven't heard it yet:

I luv it! Listened to it about 9 times in a row earlier. So unfair and Brand new me are definitly my favourite John solo songs

I've listened to it a few times. It's solid. Nothing groundbreaking for John, pretty much his usual fare. The hook is pretty good.

I downloaded it at the same time as you, great192, I suppose, lol. I just discovered that site so I downloaded the complete set. I've only heard it once, I can't say anything about it. It wasn't love at the first listen, that's a fact.

i don't really know what it is. i'm sure a lot of it was hearing it acoustic first, but it's perfect to me.

those lyrics are pretty much what i heard as well, except a few things here and there, but i'm the worst at transcribing ninedays lyrics. i hear some pretty funky things.

I really don't know what I was thinking. I just listened to the song for the first time since the other night when I downloaded it, and was tired and had to play it low so I didn't wake any of my housemates up. I read the lyrics while listening....

I mean, as I said, it's really nothing new for John, but regardless, the song is *awesome*. The lyrics are outstanding, and the melody is perfect.

It'll be interesting to hear this fully produced.

as far as "So Unfair" is concerned, glad you like it! the lyrics posted on this thread are real close, but they are still in the "hmmm" stage for me so dont be upset if i make minor changes...i plan on recording a full on band version in the next 2 weeks...thanks for the feedback, you guys and gals are the best.

different parts have been my away message for the last few days, and of couse a link to listen to and watch it are included, i shall single-handedly change the world into john hampson lovers one person at a time
and i just read for like 3 hours and had it on repeat the whole time cause i was reading Kafka and hes freakin awful...but the goodness of so unfair made it not suck so bad...now as i go read some sparknotes for the part of my assignment that actually has them, i shall listen to it some more

Wow...The quality of these songs are just great. The song is quite different but yet it's still John. I love the sites content ,this could really help in Promotion. It just proves that they are better live than any other working band out there.

OK,Everyone can join me but we have to choose.Take your pick Pilgrim State or South Oaks......? I prefer South Oaks because Pilgrim is too hidden and spooky.

lol my dad used to threaten to send us to south oaks when we were kids

but id definatley perfer South Oaks, its conveniently located two minutes from my house and i know some friendly people who work there, and Pilgrim is way too creepy
