God, I swear I'm so sick of all that crap. It was a good movie and all, but some seriously good films were overlooked. Personally, I think the Acadamy has only gotten best picture right like once or twice...EVER!!! w/e man...what's my opinion anywayz?

well, let me think here for a sec. I may have lied a touch, but in the past decade at least (really bout as far back as I can recall the 'best picture' winners at the moment) there have only been 2 movies I think they got right. First of all, 1992, "Shindler's List" was an amazing movie. Second, in 2001, "A beautiful mind" was quite good. In my opinion, those are the ones i think the academy has gotten right. My movie award knowledge isn't very far reaching, so spare me if I missed some classics from like the 60's or something, I'm only 15, ya know? What movies in the past do you think they've gotten right, great?

ok, taylor... you don't seem to understand what the world understands... these awards were for all three films. because in essense they're one film. just like they're six books but one book.

they were all made at the same time, (incase you didn't know) and had the same casts... so, THE LORD OF THE RINGS did sweep the oscars, just in the avenue of RETURN OF THE KING...

ok "the fellowship of the ring" was NOT made separately. you need to go back home and watch some dvds...

these are not PREDESSESORS THOUGH. these were made all at the same time these are essentially the same film, its ok if you can't get your mind around that, but this was a 15 month straight shoot then summers of ADR etc....

and you're so wrong about the acadamy, its all about politics and all that bullshit and its AMAZING that they won at all ;o) but they deserved it.
