Maybe that's a good idea for Nine Days! They can easily sign up, upload some information, like a bio and then upload some mp3's, so people can hear some stuff.

Most bands get several visitors every day (like 50, 100, not much, but every little bit is great) and about 15 downloads a day... so... 15 new fans (???).

ya, i'm in a band and purevolume has been really helpful in promoting our music. it's almost as good as mp3.com was, which will re-launch soon. but purevolume is definatly worth it. check out my band their if you want......www.purevolume.com/almosttomorrow
