Re: Best ENTIRE albums

Okay. Look who's stayin on topic!

1) "1" - The Beatles (actually all their stuff but "1" has enough variety to satisfy me- and I'm listening to it right now!)
2) Aerosmith's Greatest Hits (2 disks!) - by Aerosmith (if you didn't know that...)
3) "August and Everything After" - Counting Crows (and they are KILLER live!)
4) "Everything You Want" - Vertical Horizon (May 9th yeah!)
5) "America Town" - Five for Fighting (ya gotta have some soft stuff - this CD is just awesome!)
6) "Mad Season" - by Matchbox 20
7) "Weezer" or "The Green Album" - by Weezer (I really can't pick between these two... Weezer is so fun!)
8) "Drops of Jupiter" - Train (I'm gonna steal this one from Heather!)
9) "Dizzy up the Girl" - Goo Goo Dolls
10) "SWIM" - July For Kings (July Forkings... what's a forking?!?! Is that like a stabbing?)
11) the unreleased masterpiece (aka So Happily Unsatisfied... some people are so vain... John... j/k) by... hmm... lemme think. Can someone help me out? I can't remember... winking smiley

Okay... I could go on too but my food is getting cold.

Oh shiznit... I knew I'd forget something/ someone. Any CD by Jon Bon Jovi... I like too much of their stuff to pick one CD, unless the CD was called Colleen's Bon Jovi Mix CD.

Oh yeah... and I guess the rest of the ND stuff too.

Rock.on.Colleen. (and I'm sure I'm forgetting more- and why hasn't anyone else mentioned Aerosmith?!?!)

Learning To Breathe and/or The Beautiful Letdown - Switchfoot
The Madding Crowd - Nine Days
Grace - Jeff Buckley
Live Stages - Vertical Horizon
Sister Hazel - Fortress
Let It Be - The Beatles
The Places You Have Come To Fear The Most - Dashboard Confessional
The May Street Project - Shea Seger
Closer - Better Than Ezra
Everybody Got Their Something - Nikka Costa
Rise - Rubyhorse

Okay, I quit. I know I'm forgetting a ton of obvious ones, but this is just too hard. My brain hurts.

Re: Best ENTIRE albums

No specific order...
Nine Days - So Happily Unsatisfied
Oasis - (What's The Story) Morning Glory
Coldplay - A Rush Of Blood To The Head
Led Zeppelin - IV
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Switches between Blood Sugar Sex Magik and Californication
Third Eye Blind - 3EB
Marvelous 3 - Hey Album! (indie)
Pink Floyd - Echoes
Pearl Jam - Vitalogy
Nirvana - Nevermind
Goo Goo Dolls - Can't pick just one, switches too much
Tonic - Head On Straight
Travis - The Man Who
The Beatles - White Album (probably)

I think that's enough, so I'll stop
Re: Best ENTIRE albums

Wow, there ARE really weezerfans here, even John likes them, how cool is that!! It's my second fav band (ND is my fav of course, hehe) and their music is fantastic, I'm actually some sort of a weezerfreak, I have every song that have been somewhere on the internet...! Rivers Cuomo is great and Maladroit is really fantastic. So, the best entire albums are:

Nine Days - TMC & SHU (of course)
Weezer - Maladroit, The Blue Album (aka Weezer), The Green Album
Melanie C - Northern Star
3 doors down - The Better Life
Ozma (the only band which succeeded in making music like Weezer) - Rock & Roll part three

that's it, I don't like much albums best, but mostly the albums are good, but there are some songs I don't like (Two ghosts in a dustbin for example), so then it's not the best in my opinion.
Re: Best ENTIRE albums

seriously, everyone in the world likes weezer i think.

the last weezer show i went to, i saw half of my school, half the ppl from my town, every familiar face ive ever seen at a show.. and even half of nd. haha nd is scary, i didnt say hi ;X
Re: Best ENTIRE albums
March 17, 2003 06:47AM
Yeah... seeing half of someone would be scary... Was it like top/ bottom or left/right?

LOL. just kidding.

Re: Best ENTIRE albums
March 17, 2003 06:56AM
....'Island in the Sun' is my favorite Weezer track to date.

I am in disbelief that nobody has put either American Hi-Fi album at any point in their lists.......so sod it, I will:

# American Hi-Fi (Self Titled Debut)

'Another Perfect Day' and 'I'm A Fool' paricularly fantastic.

# American Hi Fi : The Art of Losing

'Rise' and 'Nothing Left To Lose' are my current favourites. MUST see live in April. Probably the only time I'll be able to!...Damn all my fave artists being in America....

Other honourable mentions should include: The Verve, Coldplay, The Stereophonics and the mighty Foo, that is Fighters.

Guess what I just realized (randomly). This post is a random post. John is being random. This message board is turning into a random message board. Okay. Enough with the word random. I have to go to work soon.

By the way Sketch - Coldplay is awesome!

Re: Best ENTIRE albums
March 17, 2003 07:21AM
'Random' is a good word.

It describes the board so well because without a label, the band have entered 'the void where nothing much appears to be happening' (though I'm sure they're all working really hard to get themselves sorted)............ and therefore, what else other than blatant randomness are we supposed to post about?

P.S: I still don't have SHU......could someone help me please?

P.P.S: 'Clocks' by Coldplay......and yes, I did say 'CLOCKS'. Fan-bloody-tastic.

I like proposterous and gargantuan (spelling). When I was about 4 or 5 me and my friend used to walk around her living room saying them and doing this weird kick dance thing. LOL. We thought we made them up.

Gargantuan! YEAH! There is this Disney song called Great Grand Gargantuan Gorillas! So fun, till it gets stuck in your head... but still.

Gargantuan is great. And so are made up words like Ginormous (really big!)

Re: Best ENTIRE albums

this friend of mine says ginormous all the time!!!!!

oh, oh!!! funny made up word story--last night i was talking to this other friend and she was telling me about her new nose ring and she goes "yeah, the last one was really small, but this new one is a big honker and it always gets in my way"

and boy did i laugh. and she was like what, so i had to explain it to her.

get it? nose------honker!!!!!!!

AHHHHHhhhh hahahahahha...

sorry, that will be the bad joke of the day.
Re: Best ENTIRE albums
March 18, 2003 11:58AM
HAHAHAHA!!! that is great. I've got my nose pierced but the ring is about normal sized i guess... it's just a cubic zirconia stud thingo. I LOVE IT! I'm thinking about getting a new piercing... I don't know what though... OHOHOH! I know! Let's have a "which piercing should Colleen get next" competition... ehh... well.... we'll see.

I always wanted a tongue ring but my guy friends won't let me. They tell me i'll look like a hoe...sorry dont' want to offend anyone with a tongue ring here. I disagree but they convinced me not too and now with my iternship in the summer I can't anyway.
