It's good to know...

That no matter how much I may break my ass at work so that the store doesn't fall apart, I'm still making the same amount of money as another guy who doesn't do a damned thing.

And therein lay the fundamental problem with socialism. Because people like will start destroying things over the above fact.

you spend your entire day trying to cover up the management teams incompetence and get paid a fraction of their pay

seven fifty, and i am the only employee who is not either too stoned or too enthralled in a video game to comprehend words. i could get hired at mcdonalds tomorrow and probably make more. but then no perks. and the perks really are awesome. so, what can you do?

And then you'd be working at McDonalds...

Have to accept that sometimes you're the pigeon, and sometimes you're the statue... which kinda sucks

ya know what sucks? making $7.00 an hour (no taxes!) to 'watch' kids experiment and do homework and then going home to a job where ill make 6 an hour and not only have taxes taken out, but pension money too...at 19 i've already got about a year in summers built up (yay now i'll get 10 cents more a year when im 75) and i can retire all that much sooner ... YAY NYS government jobs...

ok, you are right. the leering scuzballs are pretty gross. but there really are perks. i just cant think of most of them right now.
and the fact that there is no free food really sucks. but, there is free MUSIC, and thats far more important than food. see, theres a perk.
AND, im totally getting over that co-worker crush. starting now.

I'm getting 14% of my 6 dollar and hour paycheck taken out to pay Social Security. I'm 18 and thus won't be retiring until the 2050s, at the earliest. Guess what year they say Social Security is gonna dry up? 2030. Thank you, almight government, for making sure I have not only less money NOW but that I'll also have less money THEN.
