...AND (for the most part) it was historically correct as well (although i caught a few things that didn't really happen, i don't want to ruin anything for anyone)

Your standard 'epic' fodder.

It was the variety of accents and native tongues of the actors and actresses that made me smile. Ha. Not one of them even remotely Greek. And how would Brad Pitt have had those streaks put into his hair back then?

There is quite a bit of historical inaccuracy.

For example, the jet packs were totally out of place. As was Barney the Dinosaur

and i found some stuff incorrect to. but it was still good.

the gods are talked about a lot, but thats it. and personally, i think for the most beautiful woman in the world, the could have got a hotter helen. she was pretty...but only with makeup on.

NINE DAYS!!

after seeing it, i wanted to read the illiad because it seemed like a lot of things were made up for the movie. also, i couldn't stop laughing whenever i saw eric "the hulk" bana's face. i was waiting for him to turn green and get huge and kill all the greeks. still, he was the best character in the movie, with the king of troy, peter o'toole, being a close second.
