tonight at seaford high school

well lori, terry, and i had an excellent time with a giant viking....
...it was in a tiny high school auditorium and at the old age of 19/20 i think we were the oldest...
high school kids suck...moshing to tripside, carbondale, and bandcamp...
"do you guys like girls yet?, cause ya know they don't like to be pushed like that" ---- Le Roy (carbondale)
"pits are expressions of homoeroticism" ---- Lori

but as for the show...it was, of couse excellent... it started with some nice technical difficulty, the curtain was stuck on the light for a frikin long time, but the rockin version of so unfair eventually continued...they did ulitmate love song, she wont get away, different dreams, worse than it seems...

we were too close to the stage and couldn't hear a damn thing for the first two songs, so john turned his monitor so we could hear...

then jack ass high schooler named alex was a general ass throughout the show...
"What's your name?" john
"Alex"
"Alex, shut up" john
later, during absolutely, he jumps on stage and starts singing along, john, being very professional finishes the chorus, and then tells him to "get the **** off stage right now"...where was long haired, middle age "security" man in the checkered shirt then?

but y'all need to hear different dreams, because its that cool

they finished up with the in crowd, and im probably forgetting something else...

after the show...
"i could get way more attention if i ripped my shirt off" Lori (in reference to scay 15 year old moshing boys)
"YEAH YA WOULD" Ryan (tripside)

oh and carbondalers- i yelled for dandelion and LeRoy turned around and was like sure and started playing it...that was when i gained the respect of those evil children...

well i shall post pics in the morning....

can't wait for JUNE 3 !!!

everything i heard before i had to leave was great. kudos john!!

and a p.s. for scott...john telling that kid to shut up didnt in any way compare to him telling you to shut the f.uck up. haha <3

I feel so objectified. Damn you, Ryan. Damn you!!!!!!!! *shakes fist*

So yeah, tonight was super super fun. And GOD BLESS YOU JOHNNY BOY for knowing enough to turn your monitor towards us. As nice as you are to look at, I'm kinda there to hear ya sing first and foremost.

Can I just say, hearing Different Dreams w/o John stopping in the middle to point out that the guy over the loud speaker is telling me to move my car is SUCH a good thing. LOVE that song.

That Alex kid needs a fucking life. And WOW those kids need dance lessons. I have never been so frightened in my entire life. I felt like I was watching kiddie porn, with them running around w/o their shirts on. It made me feel dirty and disgusting.

Carbondale was super cool. And when Le Roy (Le Roy! hee!) made the comment about watching where the girls are when you mosh, I was just like "moshing is the epitome of homoeroticism!" (or something like that), and all the girls around me just burst out laughing. It was fun. heh.

All in all, a really fun show. And John, BRING PICTURES NEXT TIME DAMNIT. :-D

I can totally wait for June 3rd, because I WONT BE THERE. *sob* stupid Disney World vacation I've had planend for months in advance.

Hey Katie, for our next trip to Seaford, let's make it our goal to find the invisible magical parking lot, mm'kay? :-D

haha yes different dreams is way better without "wait, whats that, theres a white grand prix in the golf stop parking lot about to be towed" in the middle...and yes we really do need to locate that invisible parking lot

oh and john i i second lori's request :-P

Oh, and hey John? Why were you so mad during Absolutely? You looked like you were about to start growling at the crowd or something. Heee.

too bad no one recorded this show, john getting mad sounds really entertaining!

cleary the "if scott doesnt go, i dont go" rule needs to change.
because THE SHOW SEEMS LIKE IT WAS FUN EVEN WITHOUT HIM.
john described as having... anger?
telling a kid (seriously) to shut up?
AND I MISSED IT.
passive agressive john would be so much fun if angry john came out every once and awhile.

Its an up-tempo ballad (if that makes sense).

It starts off super slow and really pretty, and then it goes into this rockin' bit, and its...umm...

yeah. I can't describe songs for ****, man. Heh. Maybe someone who's heard it more than 1.2 times (jess, katie?) could describe it better?

It was funny, he started playing it, and Katie and I were kind of like "eh?" because we didn't recognize it. We thought it might be different dreams, but we weren't sure. So the only logical thing was to go "HEY JESS!" waaaay across the stage and have her tell us. Hehe.

yes 'tis an up-tempo ballad, and i have no other way to describe it, i'd write out the lyrics for yas, but as ive only heard it twice, that might not come out so very well

The Viking picture...HAWWWWTTTT!! <333

And damn, that shirt of Charlie's is ten times of coolness. Tom and Jerry, woohoo!

I'm surprised I managed to fight the urge to jump up on stage and flip John's collar down.

ok, this whole thread makes me cry, feel out of the loop, and john is a prep, and i love how his collar is flipped up... you can take the kid out of privete school... but not the privete school out of the kid haha... [i dunno if john even when to independent school. i don't think so]

ALSO WTF I WOULD HAVE KICKED THIS ALEX KIDS' FUCKING ASS. before john had to even say anything... and yeah i would have been rolling on the floor moaning durin tripside for them to get the **** off the stage... and hehe... i would have been uber jelly of this alex kid b/c he got on the stage... *giggle*

I WANT A JOHN SHOW NOW. ok kids, keep your fingers crossed that me and my gf can make it to cbgbs and club loaded... hehehe ;o)

Woh, I can't believe Katie and I *both* forgot about this.

Hands down, BEST. PART. OF. A. SHOW. EVAHH:

Right before he busts into the "My best friend has a perfect life and I..." chorus of "The In-Crowd," John sings:

"I sit alone on the couch, mastu-----------MY BEST FRIEND HAS A PERFECT LIFE AND I..."

Katie and I just about died when he stopped mid word. That was even better than hearing him say "****" a bunch of times after the show in conversation. YAY FOR DIRTY JOHN. heh.

Wow, we who were there Thursday night really have selective memories, don't we? First none of us mention the masturbating line, and now I just remembered when John gave all the 15 year old moshers (even Alex the ass) hard ons (figuratively, because EWW) when he started playing Stairway to Heaven. That was so great. They're all screaming and harrassing John, and then John starts playing Stairway...I never heard so many "WOH ****!" "NO FUCKING WAY!" and "DUDE!"s in my life...hee.

i'm actually kind of glad for the safety of the children that i wasn't exactly technically there that evening...

because... yeah that would just have been really bad news.
