my pod has so much space on it, help me fill it up!
3 essential songs you could not live without, any genre, any band, i don't even care at this point if you recommend third eye blind or poison or the dreaded T, hit me up with somethinggggg.
(i definately already have all 5 ND albums on it, so no recommending that. and yes, all 5, i don't count 1 of them.)

No, that's not sarcasm at all. I really have no clue. I know people talk about them a lot. And I assume they play music. I also assume that they're like an mp3 player, but I'm also led to believe that they're not.
In the end, I just want to know what it is and what the big deal about them is.

the ipod with the largest gb (40) holds about 10,000 songs on it. meaning, you could have your entire music collection with you.. at all times. that's the big deal.
You don't even have the patience to download a 1 meg file---so how are you are going to wade through gigs and gigs of songs for one you feel like hearing?
i have the patience, i just know a file from you has a 90% chance of being completely mediocre (with the exception being that rundmc song you sent me), so i don't download from you.
One of the best songs ever is "She Will be Loved" by Maroon 5. Good stuff.
