Misheard lyrics

Ever listen to a song and hear the words totally wrong from what they really are? When I first listened to Marvelous, I thought "the memories you visualize" was "memories and fishing line" And I wondered where else in the song it talked about fishing. LOL. Oops.

And the part "Did I spoil your valentine" sounds like "did I spoil your valiant time" But valentine makes much more sense.

And this isn't Nine Days, but the song "The Middle" by Jimmy Eat World, I knew these weren't the words, but it kinda sounds like "Hey, don't rot yourself away" My friend once thought it was "Hey, don't write yourself all day" Hehehe, good song.

Speaking of good songs, has anyone heard the song "Hear You Me" by Jimmy Eat World? That is a very lovely song. ::Nods::.

hehe...I love Jimmy Eat World. I think their music is beautiful...not so much their newest CD...but their CD "Clarity" is amazing...

Hmm, I've never heard "Clarity" but I have the newest and I kind of agree with you. There's only two songs i really like on it "The Middle" and "Hear you me".

How rude! I always mishear lyrics... If my groovy sister Heather was here, she would tell you how I always mishear lyrics and then am insistent on what I hear is correct...but yeah... big white stretch mark baby....

Hehe, I just thought of something. In the song "Affirmation" by Savage Garden, there's a part that goes "I believe that beauty magazines promote low self esteem" and someone on some site thought it was "I believe that nudie magazines promote your self esteem" Hehe, I've always thought that one was funny.

I would have answered you sooner but I was busy "reading" massive amounts of porn.

the last jew show i was at was the worst concert i have ever been at - it was my 5th time in 3 years seeing them and my final show for that tour in australia - it was wonderful it was going so well, good set list, great interaction - then jim stuffed up the middle words - zach stormed off stage - mid song mind you - jim tom and rick tried to finish it - tom and rick left the stage - jim sat down on the floor and put his face in his hands and pretty much burst into tears

the entire crowd was like wtf?

Oh I love Here You Me. So pretty, and my friends Griffy and Shannon (who are brother and sister) sang it at a benefit concert. It was awesome.

And Kat, "Hear You Me" must have been really pretty when your friends performed it. That'd be a really good song to do at that kind of thing.

Whenever I listen to the Beastie Boys I always confuse their lyrics, unless I know them/ looked them up. Those "fools" say the "craziest" things and it sound so cool. Really; almost every song.
