I have dizzy up the girl, gutterflower and my personal fave a boy named goo, there are other goo goo dolls albums, are any of them worth getting cos u never hear as much about them????
They've just released a live album in America.
The only place I can find that here though is Amazon and 101cd.com and it's about ?20 or so
What I learned about Ego, Opinion, Art & Commerce is a good colection of songs. Unsure what albums all the songs are from however.
I'm lacking Superstar Carwash and Jed and want both of them.
Hopefully my sister will pick up the live cd when she goes to the states this week.
"I'm tryin hard 2 breathe now, but theres no air in my lungs, theres no1 here 2 talk 2, n the pain inside is makin me feel numb"
Superstar CarWash is definately worth getting, the others not so much.
Isn't it out on the 22nd?
SuperStar Carwash is good, but it's like all the songs sounds pretty much the same (besides We Are The Normal).
in Hold Me Up, there is a song (the last one), called Two Days In February, it's one of my favorites, and when "What I Learned About Ego..." released, they recorded for the collection a new and improved version of this song, only this song is worth the whole album.
So if you buy "What I Learned About Ego..." you get this song, and they picked for it about 6 songs from Superstar Carwash

Yeah sorry the album is out next week. Thankfully my sister will still be there to pick it up

Actually Genesis it's close but is capoed 2nd fret. I think that may be the closest they get to standard though? At least of all the songs that I can think of. And superstar carwash kicks ass. Girl Right Next To Me is an awesome song with a very fun solo to play.

I think "Acoustic #3" is the only John song in standard tuning with no capo.
^ I really like that one.

Yup Acoustic #3 is altered. I believe it's something like reverse drop d (E-A-D-G-B-D) but i honestly cant remember.
............. uhm............. so what does capo mean?

I'm so glad that made sense to you, G-Man.

Joking. I know of such devices. Though I haven't purchased one as yet.
I actually understood what Genesis said, which is amazing because I'm usually a bit thick with musical terminology.
I actually have that very capo, but in red. And it cost me ?16... that's about $29.71 US.
Man, I wuz robbed!
I just checked they're range of acoustics and almost died at the sight of some of the prices.
Do they hand build the trees? P
Also, a question arose as I wandered around the collection. Does Taylor, own a 'Taylor'? Because that... would be geek-cool.

Wow, you got that for almost half price!

Thank you much Genesis. I totally understand now. And to the other question, I do not own a Taylor. I have a Fender, a Takemini, and a Yamaha. My Takemini is huge though and it's really hard for me to play... most of the time I just stick with my crappy yamaha electric cuz it's perrrty.

What's a good first guitar?
I've been randomly picking up my mum's ancient classical for about 2 months and now mym dad wants to buy me an acoustic. Which is very nice of him, only, I don't know what I'm looking for.
