I actually heard 'Absolutely' on Z100.

I was on my way to school this afternoon and when I started my car, I heard this song....At first I couldn't believe it, but then I heard the lyrics and knew it was true. Z100 was actually playing 'Absolutely' .... I'm telling you ....It was really strange.

Because it hasn't been a popular song for several years now and Z100 has played shite recently?

Z100's a top 40 station, meaning their playlist consists of the songs currently on the Top 40 list. Having Absolutely come up on their playlist is an aberration, since it hasn't been considered "Top 40" for years.

Most Top 40 stations do that - they will play all of these current "hits," and randomly throw in an "old" song from the late 90s/early 2000s.
