Absolutely=only good song on Madding Crowd?
ok. I'm new to this whole message board thing, but I was reading some reviews on a website. can't remember now. but they basically were stating that Absolutely was the only good song on the CD. They said that buying the CD was a waste of their money. Okay. First of all, I believe that Absolutely is probably my least favorite song on the CD. Not saying that it is bad in any sense of the word, but not one of my favorites. I believe the CD needs to not just be listened to not repetively but continuously returned to. Besides, the lyrics on this CD are beyond genius. And by only hearing the single and loving it for the song is very shallow. You should want to hear some of the other songs that the band has to offer and not just one tune that you like to hear in the car. Anyone agree or disagree?

I LOOOOOVE Absolutely, it's one of my all time favorites.

i think absolutely is a great song, i remember the first time i heard it - i couldn't stop listening to it for about a week. it's the only "famous" song that related to NineDays so if it wasn't for it, i probably didn't heard of them at all. it's the only NineDays song played on europe, so it introduced to band to a lot of loyal fans.
i bought the TMC album after i heard If I Am, So Far Away & Revolve.
forgive me for my LAME english
but lori, you know i only do it cause i love him. ;-)
lou -- hehehe you do indeed. just wait until everyone who doesn't know me hears john's speach.....

I agree that Absolutely is by far not the best song on the album, but it was the song that introduced me to Nine Days so i am gratefull for that, does anyone else think that 257 weeks is awsome!

It's a CHOON!! I kinda killed it through overplay at the beginning but you can always to return to a good song and have it still sounding fresh with the next listen. TMC is one of those albums, never tires, never gets old.

Well. When they all make it back into the global mainstream I guarantee the TV spot and biographical best seller will be called 'Absolutely : Story of a Band'...
It was exactly what they needed to get the exposure they required. And they got it. Hence, why most of us are here. Me included.

i like if i am and bitter a whole lot better than absolutely
if i am is by far my fav ND song, except i'm far fonder of the acoustic version than the album version
