Yes. I have. Thank you very much. But I'm more thankful that I was within reach of the remote.
That guy doesn't sing, he whines.

How is it missing the point? If you're standing up there 'singing'... you should be able to sing.
And like I said. Morrissey whines. I personally cannot stand it. Regardless of whatever meaning behind the words he's howling.
Morrissey has a stunning voice. He has great tone, good range, unique quirks. I certainly don't think he "whines".
The Shins -- Mine's Not A High Horse
You bastards accidentally made me type the Smiths with all your Morrisey talk.

Morrissey - The More You Ignore Me the Closer I Get
No, I'm not listening to that song, but I just wanted to say how much I like it.
And in regards to Morrisey, perhaps he didn't have a traditionally great voice, but it was unique, and it's the unique voices that get remembered a hell of a lot more than those voices that might be technically superior and with broader range.

morrissey - i'm playing easy to get
I was up til half past one trying to find this song last night.
It was worth it.
You can make arguements for both a unique voice and a perfect singing voice. Personally, I think I like singers who's voices aren't perfect because it makes them more interesting to listen to.
On the other hand, there are songs I like that are sung by people who don't have great voices and I have this feeling that I'd like the songs more if they were sung by someone with a great voice.
BEATLES MAKE ME HOTTTT
