STRESS FRACTURES

anyone ever have one?

3 weeks ago my foot got HUGE, it looked like it had elephantitis.
but i hate doctors so i pushed it off foreveerrr.
and then i went to buy vans this weekend, you know, the slip on kind.
and my left foot slips right in, with a little extra room..
AND THE RIGHT ONE CANT EVEN GET HALFWAY THROUGH.
and so i go to a foot doctor (in bethpage no less, BLARGH)
and hes like "it doesnt show up on the xray but you have all the symtpoms,
SO, im going to treat you for it.."

and gives me an UGLY ORTHOPEDIC SHOE over a SOFT CAST
that fucking ITCHES and IS HOT and make my FOOT sweat, i hate it.
and apparantly these invisible fractures take their time healing.

oh, and my friend tells me he got one in his hand once!? and it could take really long to heal.

OIFJOWIEJOFIWJS

SO SERIOUSLY WHAT IS IT EXPLAIN IT TO ME THANKS.

p.s. this must be karma for laughing at ninedaysrulez' misfortunes and im going to hell and blahbblah.

i had one i believe in my big toe for most of my cross country season. just swelled up like a mother. but daily advil and lots of ice (over the course of 2 months) made it go away for me. i didn't wanna go to the trainers cause i didn't want a soft cast like what you have.

in other news, a stress fracture is when your bone has repetative stress that causes a "weak spot" in the bone and the bone craks ever so slightly (also known as a hairline fracture)

i found a website for you. http://my.webmd.com/content/article/16/1728_84144.htm

OLhhhh it sucks. I have one in my foot and it hurts like a mother and I've gotten one every season this entire year. I had a really bad one all through out snowboard season becuase I tightened my snowboarding boots so tight they actually broke my foot. It takes forever and a lifetime to heal, and I am REALLY hungry right now, so I'll continue this conversation later.
