They're coming...
I'm a little dis-heartened that the PS3 looks like something George Foreman would be proud of.
'The Lean Mean Gaming Machine'... if you will. I've seen some shots of both of their softwares too. Damn near burnt my retina with its games based crispyness... ... ... and don't even get me started on Unreal Tournament 2007 for the PC. Post Edited (05-16-05 20:19)
The next console from Nintendo's gonna be where it's at, let me tell you.

Seen this Mike? (If it bears any semblance of truth... a Nintendo 'Revolution' is nothing short of what it would be)
Or these? Post Edited (05-16-05 21:05)
I'd read something that described that, but actually seeing that is fucking A.
The trouble for Nintendo will be getting third party support for that, I'd imagine, but who cares. Blow everything else out of the water easily. -Mike Go listen to my band. We're awesome. http://www.myspace.com/rosencrantzny weallgotwoodandnails
Revolution.

hah the nintendo thing looks cool but i dont see that being the new console..
apparently its the size of a few dvd cases on top of each other, compared to the beasts ms and sony will bring out i can't believe people dont buy them.. more power and much more manageable. http://www.musiksite.co.uk
That Revolution video is also a fake, I just found out.
I still want that thing, though. -Mike Go listen to my band. We're awesome. http://www.myspace.com/rosencrantzny weallgotwoodandnails
It doesn't look good for Nintendo, people, I've had a run through of some hardware specifics and upcoming games, and there is a distinct fear that Nintendo may have missed the boat with this machine. Much like Sega did with the Dreamcast. However, if the rumours about the controllers are true... Post Edited (05-17-05 12:28)
What's the rumor about controllers?

Wait, wait, wait, Sketch. Missed the boat?
http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/05/17/news_6125078.html Maybe it won't have the processor power, but how much of that is really needed and not such extra fluff? -Mike Go listen to my band. We're awesome. http://www.myspace.com/rosencrantzny weallgotwoodandnails
'Missed the boat': Fell behind.
The controllers are rumoured to contain gyroscopic sensors, signalling movement through alteration in wrist alignment, which basically will give you the power of a mouse in a console game. It is also rumoured that pressure sensitive grips will control such things as throttle in racing games, firing intensity, etc... The only remotely 'Revolutionary' thing about the Nintendo unit so far is that it can download every game ever made by Nintendo... Which... most of us have been doing for years on our PC's anyway. It's definately the weakest of the three, thus far. Those PS3 controllers are not apparently the final design, although yes, that IS the Spiderman font... fact-fans. Post Edited (05-17-05 15:35)
I hope nintendo pulls through. I used to be a strictly nintendo man until game cube.

I was strictly a Nintendo guy until the Gamecube, too. I've just gotten too old for the typical Nintendo fair, so the X-Box has filled that. I have a PS2 as well, but I've come to like the X-Box a lot more.
However, it looks like Nintendo's going to at least make a try at something more on the Revolution, and that's a good sign. I'll buy a Revolution for the new Zelda game alone. -Mike Go listen to my band. We're awesome. http://www.myspace.com/rosencrantzny weallgotwoodandnails
Interesting news. Or rather a theory. The 'NintendoON' system might not be fake after all.
Re-watch the video that I posted and notice the system with the '?' underneath the image of the Gamecube. Isn't that the new Revolution system? The video also states left and right sides of the 'brain' with regard to the mysterious console, and during the press conference for the Nintendo Revolution's release, there was heavy use of the terminology 'left brain' and 'right brain'. Even stranger, would be this footage reportedly seen at E3. http://pages.sbcglobal.net/lonic/SA/Rev-On-E3.wmv The plot thickens.
YES. I WANT THAT THING.
