i agree,america has much more crap music that all sounds the same than across the ocean. yellow is a good song,an brian desveaux does not sound like bryan adams,(i guess every guy with a raspy voice sounds like bryan adams or rod stewart) and again with the ryan cabrera, jeez that ends this post for me

It's coldplaymania in the UK according to the sun newspaper. X and Y sold 151,000 copies on monday and at 1 stage 151 copies were going a minute. It's expected that half a million copies will be sold by saturday night and it will be no.1 in the album charts.

Firstly, given your tabloid source, that could very easily be a huge steaming crock of shite. Although I am pretty sure that regardless of the factual accuracy of the numbers, the album will do really well this coming week.
Secondly, please quit pushing your opinions on everybody here, including the band as if you are somehow the #1 on all things music. It's embarassing. For you. You like what you like and that's great, but don't expect everybodies tastes or opinions here to tread your line because of some obsessive arrogance in your posting.

I actually thought Coldplays new one was an uter dissapointment seriously i had a hard time taking his depressing music seriously since he is like on top of the world right now. And it pretty much spounded the same all the way through and the whole album kinda seemed like A Rush Of Blood To The Head. So overall i didnt find it "great at all: and no Foo Fighters sound nothing like Nickelback if you wanna be technical Theory Of A Dead Man is Nickelback 2.

I was a bit disappointed with X&Y at first, but it's really grown on me.
coldplay x and y, rollingstone.............its the sound of a blown-up band trying not to deflate.

Best album of the year has to be Don't Believe the Truth by Oasis. A few songs such as The Importance of Being Idle & Part of the Queue took a few listens to get into but Meaning of Soul, Guess God Thinks I'm Able & Keep The Dream Alive - now we're getting somewhere!! And to finish it all off with Let There Be Love - marvelous!! It's not an album for singles, no Oasis album has been. So put it on, press play & enjoy the music. I havnt heard an album with such a good flow in a while.
And the first Athlete album is where it's at - kiss kiss bang bang
