who saw it and what did you think

I wanted to see it, then Tom Cruise became pop culture's latest punchline.

Now...not so much.

i really have no desire to see it. basically the film looks like tom cruise running around, holding dakota fanning's hand and looking up a lot (possibly pointing as well to mix things up).

I agree. All the trailers and commercials don't make the movie look interesting at all. I get that they probably didn't want to show much of the aliens, but whoever cut the trailers should be shot.

I have heard that it's gotten pretty good reviews though. But I'm still not that interesting in seeing it.

actually, after reading the book years ago and remembering that it was really good, i wouldn't be suprised to be let down some by the movie. we'll see
