SHOULD I SEE THE DALAI LAMA?
ok so the dalai lama is going on a US TOUR.
he's actually visiting a bunch of colleges in the fall and speaking. one of these colleges = rutgers question is.. SHOULD I GO? i tend to hate things such as religion and peace talks, though i'm for peace, and i'm cool with anyone believing (or not believing) in whatever they like, i just don't necessarily like speeches about either subject, because i somehow find condescending aspects in everything, BUT, it is THE infamous dalai lama. so should i buy some tickets and go to the speech just to say that in my lifetime i saw the dalai lama speak? ideas, thoughts, opinions, noises and/or interpretive dance moves, please.
if you aren't really into it then don't go, it's kind of unfair to people who really are interested in it and want to learn something from it for you to take up a ticket and prevent people who are genuinely interested in seeing him speak from getting to go. That point is moot if there is more than enough tickets for everyone.
lou get over yourself. i have been on this board as long, if not longer, than anyone else. you IMed kelli like a little boy to tell her "your friend steph can't come to the BBQ" and then every single thing i post here you respond with the fact that i'm not invited. i DON'T care. there are only 2 people on this entire board who would probably have a serious issue with me being there, and everyone else either doesn't care, or would expect me to be there because i always have. whatever happens, happens. if enough people speak up for me and i can come, fine. if you decide to be the biggest ******* and literally not allow me to come, fine. just get over it.
Yea.
