The folks who get all pissy when drunk shouldn't be drinking in the first place, obviously.

But alcohol is a fantastic thing that can really, really be enjoyed for much more then getting drunk if you really get into it.

Just like folks do with discovering the hidden tastes and smells of wine, you can do the same with liquor and good beers (which can often have a much broader and intricate palate than wine).

The buzz is a bonus.

i can honestly say that the few times that i've gotten high have been much better than the numerous times that i've gotten drunk (note: i haven't gotten drunk in a year and a half... i have, however, gotten high in that time).

I'm of the beleiving that alcohol kills people, weed brings people together. I have NEVER in my life met an angry stoner (and i've met many, beleive me), but I have (like most of you) met many the violent drunk.
It's such a shame the way people have outlawed smoking pot just because it is a mind altering substance (and alcohol is not??????????). I'm still waiting to see the proof that pot is a killer. all it does is eventually make you a little tired after the buzz has worn off. From my experiance pot hightens the senses, watching a movie stoned is something else, the same with music...it's really quite amazing, it brings on a feeling of complete euphoria. And as most have seen, food tastes better when stoned aswell, hehe.
As for the driving debate, you don't hear of many people killing people when driving under the influence of weed, alcohol on the other hand...well you know the score.
Weed's the lesser of 2 evils.

Matter of taste.

I've never gotten high before, but it doesn't really seem like something I want to do.

A healthy buzz, though, is fantastic.
