The happy thread

I got pissed off with not being able to playing the piano with my finger all bandaged up so I decided to take the bandage off, because it doesn't really hurt anymore and I can move it fine, and I have the BEST SCAR EVER. It's fantastic. Three little incisor tooth marks and they look almost diamond shaped, on the outside of the first joint on my little finger. And it's not gross like most scars, it's just fucking cool.

Helped set up a friends wireless network over the phone. Given that she admits herself to not being particularly great with computers, it went pretty smoothly. Even encrypted the transmission...

However, now that I've helped her jump into the 21st Century... she persists in IM'ing me from around the house on her laptop with such comments as...

'I'm in the dining room sending this...'
'Woooooow, now I'm in the car out front...'
'Wheeeeeee... this is fun...'
'This craziness even works in my back garden!!!...'
'Ok, ok, guess where I am now??!!...'

At first I thought it was sweet, and I was happy to have been able to help.... but now she's just inadvertently bugging me. Hopefully, the novelty of cable free internet access will wear off soon!

Check the heading 'Network Adapters' in the Windows XP Device Manager. It has everything hardware based that's inside/connected to your computer listed there.

I'm happy cuz today and tomorrow are my schools homecoming and it pretty much rocks. We had an intense pep rally today and my hazz band got to play even though we hired a DJ too and my principal wrestled our school student cousin president and lost and it was really cute and tonight there is another pep rally and fire works and its going to be sweet! and then in two weeks from THIS VERY night I will be in the arms of the love of my life... BOSTON JOHN!

Although I'm going through a really rough patch at the moment and having to live off of other peoples financial generosity, I'm finding out who of my small circle of friends really and truly deserve such a label.

On another happy note, (providing my student loan ever shows up) Hull Fair starts next weekend. I believe it's still the biggest in Europe. It's like a 'Neon Theme Park' on wheels... and it's muy, muy fun.

You get down, real low down
You listen to Coltrane, derail your own train
Well who hasn't been there before?
I come round, around the hard way
Bring you comics in bed, scrape the mold off the bread
And serve you french toast again

Well, OK, I still get stoned
I'm not the kind of girl you'd take home

IF IT MAKES YOU HAPPY, IT CAN'T BE THAT BAD
IF IT MAKES YOU HAPPY, THEN WHY THE HELL ARE YOU SO SAD

I forgot how much I love this song.

If everyday was like today, I wouldn't have such a big problem with going to school.

Eeeeeeeee. My Embrace SG-14 DVD arrived today from a lovely lady in Leeds. Now I need someone to strap me down and MAKE me do some work instead of watching it.

Oh the temptation.
