What's With Tuesdays?

Random, yes I know, but that's what I'm good at...

Why are most major-label albums released on Tuesdays?

Most books and movies are, too. I don't know. I understand why movies are released on Fridays.

Comic books come out on Wednesdays. Why? I don't know.

because in the end its not a monday

films are released on fridays in the uk, and most music is released on mondays

It pisses me off how music is released on mondays, when I really want to get something and have to wait a whole week of people talking about it before I can get it.

I don't get new CDs that often so I'm cool with it. Last CD I got the day it came out was the new Weezer one. Before that, I don't even remember. It might have been "Avalanche."

Haha... I don't think I've ever gotten anything the day it came out... well maybe I got Vanessa Carlton 'cause it was on sale really cheap that first day.

But they must just keep it to one day so that you always know when stuff comes out.

I bought the new Weezer and Foo Fighter CDs on opening day this year at Best Buy. I think I got them both for $9.99 each, which is a couple dollars cheaper than normal. I just asked the question because I think in the Chili Peppers thread here, someone listed a tentative release date of Tuesday, Month

thats because Tuesday is the best day of the week.. and everyone needs to get shitfaced on Tuesdays!

The only album I have ever bought on the opening day is Coldplay - X&Y, and I paid over the odds for it, but I didn't mind it was worth while, ?13.99 and worth ever penny.
